BTW - what do you think will happen if they try to come up with a way to attract more foreign horses?

I couldn't possibly care less.

They can prep in the US if they want.

The foreign interests are pissed because they want their horses guaranteed in for bloodstock purposes. They want a free pass for one or two animals a year. It will be interesting to see what new changes they come up with.

I am with BTW, they can prep in the US. Do they or dont they consider Group events? I mean, if you want your horse in the Derby then get the Graded earnings. I am not 100% sold the graded earnings system, but this is the way it is and everyone knows the rules.

I couldn't agree more. Let them prep over here if they want into the Derby...

The only Euro/British/Irish/Dubai horse who has hit the board in the Kentucky Derby prepped in the US in the Blue Grass S. None of those who shipped directly over has ever run competitively. Why should we make room for no-hopers from overseas in a limited field?

exactly.. I don't mind having horses to toss out of the 20 horse field but not at the expense of someone that preps properly over here. They want to win our race do what our (American) horses do.

There is a point system for the Road to The Roses contest - but what graded stake races to they not use?
