Default My Little Brother May Make The US Open

Tomorrow is the day. I know some of you may not care for me nor like me because of my antics from posting the craziness I have over the years drunk, but put all that aside for a moment and wish my little brother well tomorrow in his attempt to make The US Open field. He will be playing at OSU's course and the Scioto Country Club here in Central Ohio, and I will be their for every shot. His name is Danny Sorgini.

I have never been more proud of him in my life.

Good luck little bro............................................... .....................

I hope the kid plays his heart out Curt. It's an acheivement alone just making past local qualifying, as those are the ones with very few spots available.

24 spots available today among this field.

No those guys don't have to qualify....Kev can probably rattle it off from the top of his head, but to qualify it has to do with rankings, pga result, pga partners results (euro, asian, etc...) previous open and major records and a whole bunch of other things....they keep spots open for qualifiers and special exemptions....they have sectional qualifying and then regional qualifying and there are hundreds if not thousands of people playing all over the world today for those 25 spots....I was watching TGC yesterday and they mentioned that a lot of the players in the Wales Open were driving somewhere several hours away after yesterdays final round to play in the 36 hole U.S. Open qualifying....anyway not sure that helped at all
