"Repeat offenders could land themselves a six-month stretch in jail."

I don't know if I agree with it, but if it is the actual will of the people, I would support it...

how ridiculous. 'disturbed by the sight of male underwear'--what about women in low riders with their thongs showing? i guess that's ok, along with cleavage and low cut shirts. glad to see they have solved ALL their problems, and have time for such mundane issues.

I'll bet any idiot that doesn't keep up his pants in public will DEFINITELY keep them up in JAIL or he better unless he wants a new best friend in the cell!

Actually, the baggy pants style began in prison, but not as a sign of sexual availability (that's a myth)- it's because prisoners are often assigned prison garb that is a few sizes too big and belts are forbidden. So it became a way of gaining street cred and then found it's way into mainstream fashion.

With the extreme homophobia in much of the African-American community, it's not likely a sartorial choice based on that sort of sexual availablity would have been so thoroughly adopted by young men.

Did I mention I'm a costume nerd in addition to a horse nerd? I find the roots of fashion trends fascinating, because they often are found in political or societal trends.
