Default buehrle

now is supposeably and hopefully rumored to be staying put and will be resigned......definately deserves it! also we are not totally dismantling which makes me happy. just need a couple position players and some arms in the pen and well be ready to make a run next year, the starting pitchings already there! LOL i might be the only person who hasnt given up on 07 yet, seems tho that dye will most likely be moved once he heals up

ozzie doesnt need to go, he did something that no1 had basically done for a 100 years in this city. contreras, well sometimes he has a tendency to tip his pitches, im not sure if thats what hes doing now. dont forget when we won the WS he had a sub par first half and the 2nd half he was unhittable. right now all i see is him leaviing alotta hiss off speed stuff up in the zone

I thought their problem was that no one was hitting the ball. I remember Contreras when he was a Yank, his control was awful. He does have lights out stuff when he is on, but when he is off he is awful.

I am a yanks fan and there is nothing like watching them go into Colorado and score 5 runs. Last time they were there they scored over 40. It is ridiculous!

The last thing I heard was Buerle going to the Dodgers for 3 young players...one SS in minors and 2 players on ML squad!

You got any rumors on which 2 on the ML Squad? Kemp,Abreu,Bettameat pretty much all hit only mistakes.Take them.If I'm wrong(and 1 of them gets good) it will be Bettameat(not Kemp or Abreu.) Can't touch LONEY,or Martin.I really don't think it wise to let an athlete like Ethier go.I'd rather lose than give up any of those 3.Can't give up Broxton. If any pitchers go,I'd say the lefty out of the pen,and Billingsley(has good stuff, but what ya gunna do..light in his head doesn't seem to ever really go on.)

IMO, they should blow up this team. They are getting old and really are not that good. They dont have a single impact position player in his 20's, they have several guys that are in regression and they dont have a great deal of young players that are close to being impact guys. The pitching staff has logged tons of innings especially Buherle, the bullpen has been so-so and the other teams in the central are better than them and in Cleveland and Minnesota's case are signifigantly younger. Dye and Thome both should be moved for prospects though they probably wont bring much at this stage of the season. Of course if the main shopper, Yankees, are out of it by the deadline(which is very possible) the trade market will be a little tighter.
If the rumors about the new contract are true, you have to think that this a shaky move. How many pitchers blow up coming off of high inning seasons and signing big contracts? More than not. Buehrle is a quality pitcher and an innings eater but not the kind of pitcher than I would like to invest $50 mill in.

Last weekend in the NY papers the talk was Buehrle to the Mets and Dye to the Yanks.

Don't touch Elbert or Kershaw.
Dodgers don't need him. They need offense. A 3B to take over and let Nomar take a hike.

If you match up the Yankees and White Sox, I can only think of 2 positions where the WS are better, 1st and DH. The Yankees are also in much better shape than Chicago in terms of young players. There is no Hughes in Chicago's system. There is no Jeter or Arod in Chicago. They need to take that team apart worse than the Yankees!!!

Make you feel better?
