Default So who's coming to Arlington 7/11?

With so many threads started I thought it'd be nice to have 1 just to put it all together. I know just from the Arlington area, Satan's Twin, GBBob, JDM, Scav, Arl Jim, Brianspencer are all in who else? The desciptions of the facility are right on. The place is a palace and so Sumwon running is an added bonus. As I said when we got back from Churchill after her last race, if you're on the fence about whether to come or not GO...

I'll be there, and maybe a friend, a brother, and perhaps a young (18 years old) nephew who has never seen a horse race.

I can't decide if I need to keep the nephew away from all you guys, or just let him have the immersion crash course from the masters regarding handicapping and having fun at the race track ....

I will be there experiencing my first DT event. Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing Sumwon run a great race. It seems like a couple of the DT'ers from Chicago have been to Arlington before.LOL Maybe they can talk to Steve and suggest a meeting place. Looking forward to a great day!

awesome. As far as a meeting place maybe the John Henry-Bart statue 2nd floor paddock side would be good. It's a bronze full size rendition of the finish and has to be seen anyway.....A great thing about running on a wednesday is the crowds are small ontrack so they'll be plenty of options as to where to set up. For those inclined they also sell owner's boxes for the day (6-8 chairs) your own TV and betting machines with waitress service. They're also free benches and picnic benches that can put you on the apron near the finish line. Lets just hope early predictions of rain are wrong.

With my navigational skills someone should draw me a map.

Sounds good and praying for no rain too!

Dell, working on getting three of these through my old man, he is extremely busy at work right now thus really hasn't had an opportunity to get up there and ask the dude for three boxes on Wednesday. I would say 20% chance of getting them

It's a BIG statue. Not quite as big as the ESPN camera crain but the crowds won't be Belmont day size either.

I'll be flying into O'Hare at 6:00am. After hearing about all the delays, I just hope I get to the track on time.

Hey Steve,

You should make a program for the race, not of the horses, but the partners...you know, screen name, real name.

I'm not sure if I want to know everyone's past performances.
