CRC: Summit of Speed Pick Five
Pre-scratches..
UPDATE: Fast/Yielding, third is off the grass, sixth and eighth stay on.. UPDATE: It's 1:17, and still no mention of an Unbridled Sidney scratch. Guess she's running in the sixth, then wheeling back in the eighth.. UPDATE: Well, the rains came before the second race, and now they're sloppy and completely off the turf. South Florida, gotta love it! Summit of Speed Pick 5 Leg A (Race 8): 17TH RUNNING OF THE BOB UMPHREY TURF SPRINT HANDICAP. $100,000, 3+, 5 FURLONGS (TURF). 3 - LORD ROBYN (David Falkes / Manny Aguilar) One of a few course specialists in here, this Robyn Dancer gelding comes into this in the best form of his life, having won the $50,000 Reappeal and run second in the $50,000 Heckofaralph locally. Even though he failed at odds-on in the latter, he had a disadvantageous post and got caught four wide on a hot pace into the turn, yet still held for second over a return winner. Sports a half-mile bullet since, albeit a few weeks ago, so he's likely still on his toes. While the rail isn't ideal, he at least should save ground. Brutal pace duel becomes the main danger, as there is certainly no lack of speed signed on for this, and even though he's proven he can chill out behind the front, Aguilar may have no other choice than to send from the fence. Contender nonetheless. 1 - BOW OUT (Thomas Schell / Jermaine Bridgmohan) First half of Schell entry certainly has made a valiant comeback this season, having ended '06 struggling against $8,000-$7,000 claimers at SUF, he just recently put up a 96 BSF and 3 3/4 TG in winning a starter allowance on a sloppy local main track over a return winner. He also rolled by 4 in a $25,000 claimer on this surface at this distance back on 5/12, so he's not out of his element on the grass, either. With that said, he's run nine times in less than four months, five times in less than two, he tanked against similar two back, he's yet to run fast enough on turf to contend here, and he's a speed ball with a ton of competition up front in here. Thinking he'll abide by his name in the stretch. 4 - JET PROPULSION (Daniel Hurtak / Eddie Nunez) Heavily-raced four-year-old comes into this off the biggest win of his career, a front-running score at 25-1 in the G3 Miami Mile BC H., his first try on the CRC green since a huge win on New Year's Eve. Not in love with all the layoff lines, considering that he ran quite often at two and three and while he's a quick one, the cut to five panels is a peculiar move. Still, he's got class, he's got some solid numbers and he's got a red-hot jockey as well as a barn capable of producing off the layoff. Imposing if capable of laying off the pace. 5 - WINNIES TIGGER TOO (Stanley Gold / Abel Castellano, Jr.) Wheaton bay scored first win in over a year with N3L score last out, but he's yet to run anything close to fast enough to make him a contender against this caliber of field. Tough to picture him factoring. 6 - UNBRIDLED SIDNEY (Ronny Werner / Robby Albarado) Likely favorite is cross-entered in the filly turf sprint earlier in the card, which may turn up a tougher task, leaving this Unbridled's Song six-year-old to face the boys, not a new dimension for her. She beat 'em in the $285,000 Cherokee Run BC H. last fall at CD, earning big figures for her effort. Last out, she rolled against girls in quick time in the $75,000 The Very One at PIM, and she's been working without a hitch since, but she's a tad vulnerable today. For one, this is essentially a prep for a title defense in the $250,000 Distaff Turf Sprint Championship H. over this course, and secondly, she'll face a lot of competitors for the lead in here. She's probably the quickest of them all (note her sick fractions in last year's DTSCH), and she's certainly one to beat, but she doesn't have a huge figure edge over a few of those that may be able to grab more of a breather early. Major player, but far from a cinch. 7 - AGRAPHA (Dallas Keen / Elvis Trujillo) TX-bred gelding appears to have turned the corner with addition of blinkers, winning his last two impressively after struggling through his first four starts. Connections take a flier and ship in for a short spin over the green, considering that he typically has runaway speed and that might be enough to get him a piece today. Except that a few others in here will do about anything for the front and this chestnut has yet to post a competitive figure. This type of heat is certainly a step above N1X foes at LS, and thinking he'll be feeling the fractions late. 2 - HOLLYWOOD LEFT (David Braddy / Julio Garcia) First half of Braddy entry holds a distinct advantage in this race considering that he's proven the ability to lay back and make one run, a valuable asset in this speed-chocked bunch. With that said, he's made a living losing to these horses the last few times out, although he's found himself trouble in each of those races. Holds some decent back form, running second to the classy Old Dodge last fall over this course, but he's going to have to not only revert to that type of delivery, but improve upon it while trying to run down some solid grass sprinters he's had trouble catching up to before. Seems just a cut below. 8 - NACASCOLO (Manuel Azpurua / Jeffrey Sanchez) Not too sure where that last effort came from, as he went almost wire-to-wire in the Heckofaralph at 8-1, beating one of today's top contenders, Lord Robyn, in the process. That one certainly got the worst of it from a trip standpoint, however, and the roles are reversed today with this dude stuck outside. Heavy work pattern since his win with four works in the past two weeks. That big figure certainly jumps out, but he's a six-year-old that got a perfect trip and faces a better field from a tougher post with more weight today. Not convinced he can repeat. 9 - D'ARTAGNANS'SPIRIT (Kirk Ziadie / Jose Lezcano) Top trainer sends out Sunshine State stronghold for only the third turf start of his career and his first try at five furlongs, and considering how this race is shaping up from a pace perspective, it may turn out to be a shrewd move. Ziadie also hits at an absurd percentage with layoffs similar to this one. Secret Hello gelding regularly breaks behind the field and does his major running late, which could do him good in here. His numbers, however, are a tad on the slow side, and he's unproven on grass, so while he stands a shot, he'll have to be at least double digits on the tote to peak interest. 2B - YES HE'S THE MAN (David Braddy / Cornelio Velasquez) Second half of Braddy entry shows up in an interesting spot considering that he hasn't been raced in nearly 11 months, but when he was at his best, he was quite good, winning four of five before taking a wrong turn for his last three starts of the year. He actually ran in the G2 Carry Back, but didn't much factor, finishing sixth, beaten 15 on the string. Comes back with a steady chain of works and makes the first grass start of his career, with Velasquez enticed enough to hop aboard. Yes It's True, his sire, gets only 4% winners with turf debuts and 6% grass winners overall, but he's a strong sprint sire, and this colt has shown plenty of speed in the past. Wild Harem, his dam, was 7/1-0-1 on grass with a high BSF of 74, was better routing, while his only sibling to race hasn't done the sod thing, and was no great shakes on the dirt, either. Outside post certainly no bargain, and he would benefit from a few scratches, but he's quite dangerous if he's on his best and if he handles the green. For wider tickets. 1A - UNIMPEDED (Thomas Schell / Junior Alvarado) Second half of Schell entry was well regarded as a two-year-old, but he had to be laid off for nearly 17 months, and came back in a $6,250 claimer at four. He won that, then destroyed $8,000 claimers, a race he was plucked out of by Schell. Since then, he was a good second against starter allowance foes, but now he really gets the acid test, sprinting on the grass in a stake from the far outside post. Another who could benefit from a pace duel, he got a strong figure two back and gets in light today, but thinking the hurdles are pretty significant. 3 - Lord Robyn 2ND Very dangerous if given a good trip from the hedge 6 - Unbridled Sidney - SCRATCHED Lightning quick mare obviously a factor if she opts for this 4 - Jet Propulsion - SCRATCHED Classy gelding's lone question is the distance 9 - D'artagnans'spirit 1ST Should get some serious fractions to close into EXACTA - $37.40 Last edited by ateamstupid : 07-07-2007 at 07:51 PM. |

Leg B (Race 9): 33RD RUNNING OF THE AZALEA BREEDERS' CUP (GRADE III). $300,000, F-3, 6 FURLONGS.
1 - SINDY WITH AN S (Mike Mitchell / Aaron Gryder) Strong shipper rocks a 3-for-4 record coming into this with her only blemish coming in the G3 Railbird at HOL, when she dueled through impossible fractions and just faded in the seventh furlong. She's also won on turf and on a non-artificial main, both stalking and on the engine, as well as from the rail. Looking good. 2 - MOUNTAIN TIGER (Douglas Potter / Sebastian Madrid) Homebred filly took 11 tries to break her maiden, but when she did it, she did so impressively, rolling by 1 1/2 against some solid MSW foes on this course. Lost all chance at the break in her last, in fact she was declared a non-starter after getting stuck in the gate, so that's a throwout. Her race two back plus the light weight makes her a bit interesting at what should be a huge number, plus the fact that she knows the course and has shown a liking to closing, but would like to see more than one big race on her resume. Mixed feelings. 3 - CHER AMI (Larry Bates / Carlos Olivero) Speedy daughter of Lost Soldier was an up-and-down mess for the first five starts of her career, but returned from a brief layoff with a vengeance, cruising in two overnight stakes on this track, and while she steps up in class today, she doesn't encounter a field with a ton of early foot, so she could actually set some reasonable fractions and have enough gas for the stretch run. Appears to be at home over the CRC oval and stands a big shot in here. 4 - ATLANTA HIGHWAY (Andrew Leggio / Carlos Gonzalez) Chief Seattle bay got hung six wide around the far turn last out, but had no problem with that, still romping by 6 1/2 in the $100,000 Stonerside at LS, her third straight comfortable win since making her three-year-old debut. Has the ability to close, and closers have generally fared well in Summit races, and she's simply hot to the touch, and three LAD works don't temper the attractiveness at all. Interesting. 5 - SECRETSOFTHEHEART (Shawn Musgrave / Abdiel Toribio) Gray filly hasn't been seen in nearly five months, and last time out she was trounced in the G3 Old Hat at GP, but before that, she was an impressive 9-1 winner in a high-priced optional claimer. She's got to improve on her winter form to make a difference in here, and thinking if she wants at the lead, Cher Ami will prove a formidable opponent, but this girl is talented and game when on her toes. Like the easy three-furlong breeze three days before the race, but this seems like a awfully tough task off the pine. 6 - HOLLY TORQUE TANGO (Brian Koriner / Clinton Potts) Precocious yet fragile chestnut appeared to be on her way to big things when second in the $100,000 Landaluce at HOL last summer, but she wasn't seen after that until 5/16 of this season when she narrowly scored in a classy optional claimer on the HOL grass. Koriner with no qualms about shipping her across the country and Potts along for the ride for only mount of the day. Still, she's got quite a few lengths to make up on these girls and she appears to be the weaker of the two-pronged CA contingent. 7 - SHEETS (T.V. Smith / Robby Albarado) Homebred daughter of Scatmandu comes into this off her peak effort, a narrow score in a CD N2X following a dull fifth in the $114,000 Open Mind on turf. Smith doing good things (31%) with limited stock this season, and Albarado sees fit to ride. While that last run was strong and she's got a super string of works for this, she could've just run huge turf-to-dirt, and she's got to progress, not regress to figure in here. Probably a cut below. 8 - MISS A. BOMB (Grant Hofmans / Abel Castellano, Jr.) Consistent bay has been keeping good company in her last few, but has yet to really turn the corner and put in that big race. Hofmans confident that today's the day, and note that both of her career tallies came at this trip. Still, she was beaten pretty handily by Sheets two back, albeit with some trouble, and that one's not exactly the one to beat in here. Turf-to-dirt angle could add some intrigue, but thinking a minor award is her ceiling. 9 - TIME'S MISTRESS (D. Wayne Lukas / Cornelio Velasquez) Mr. Greeley chestnut came out of nowhere to run a huge race (1/4 TG) when taking the G3 Miss Preakness at 7-1, then backed that up with a classified allowance score at CD last out. She was drifting late in that one though, and returns only two weeks later against a strong field of three-year-old fillies as the highweight. Formidable, but demand value. 3 - Cher Ami Should have the front to herself 4 - Atlanta Highway Versatile bay seeks fourth in a row 1 - Sindy With an S 2ND Yet to make many mistakes in brief career 9 - Time's Mistress Anything less than Miss Preakness effort would leave her short Last edited by ateamstupid : 07-07-2007 at 07:49 PM. |

Leg C (Race 10): 33RD RUNNING OF THE CARRY BACK (GRADE II). $300,000, 3, 6 FURLONGS.
1 - INDIAN ASHTON (Wesley Ward / Frank Alvarado) Tribal Rule gelding scored in a $50,000-$40,000 claimer at SA two back in fast time, then was laid off for nearly five months and returned to run a disappointing sixth in the $50,000 Valid Video over this oval in the slop. Perhaps he needed the race, perhaps he didn't care for the sloppy, sealed track and he hit the gate at the start, perhaps leaving him uncomfortably far behind. Ward certainly doesn't mess around with shippers, but this dude has a little to prove. 2 - FATE TAKES A HAND (Frank Brothers / Cornelio Velasquez) Connections saw fit to claim this Tale of the Cat chestnut for $75,000 out of his debut, and it looked awfully smart when he rolled by 8 1/4 that day. He came back with a troubled fifth at GP, but showed up at CD on 5/23 and cruised by 5 1/2 against N2L foes. Long, steady string of works since, capped off with a :59 2/5 bullet at CD on Sunday. Scary. 3 - JERONIMOS STORM (Jesus Chavez / Abdiel Toribio) Very strange situation with this colt, as he crossed the wire in front by 3/4 two back, but was disqualified to second for drifting out late, then last out, crossed the wire in front by 3/4 before being disqualified for second for drifting out late. If you're keeping score, he's still a maiden. Not a very fast one, either. 4 - BLACK SEVENTEEN (Brian Koriner / Clinton Potts) Looks like connections figured this chestnut out in a hurry. Following a pop-and-stop in the G1 SA Derby, they've turned him back to six furlongs and he's responded with two monstrous wins on the HOL cushion, earning a 109 BSF for his last victory. TG guys not as impressed, as he got a 3 1/2, but that still puts him with the contenders. Speedy colt doesn't encounter a ton of speed, so he's capable of taking them for a ride. Very dangerous. 5 - POP GOES THE TIGER (Douglas Potter / Sebastian Madrid) Like a true So. Fla. runner, this gray has already run 17 times at only three years old, and he's found his way into a few stakes while he's been at it, and appears to have his head screwed on straight after an up-and-down winter. He puts on blinkers following a closing fourth in the Valid Video. Has a lot of ground to make up on the first two runners in there, and he seems to be on the outside looking in with this solid field. 6 - FINALLYMADEIT (Javier Negrete / Eddie Nunez) Barn's lone winner in 28 tries attempts to make it two in a row following 6-1 score in the Valid Video, which followed a stinker in the G3 Hirsch Jacobs, which followed a strong effort behind elder Weigelia in the $100,000 Ponche H. Has shown the ability to lead and stalk, and Nunez appears to fit him like a glove. Appears to be the strongest threat of the local contingent. 7 - RATHER CLEVER (Kirk Ziadie / Jose Lezcano) Ran two very similar races to start his career, then scored by a head when dropped in for $50,000 and followed that up with a strong second behind a return winner in an N1X locally. Needs to raise his game in a big way, as his top figures (79 BSF, 6 1/4 TG) won't cut it. 8 - TEUFLESBERG (Jamie Sanders / Robby Albarado) Amazingly showed no ill effects of numerous Derby Trail© runs, running a huge race when scoring at 8-1 in the G2 Woody Stephens BC at seven furlongs. BSF of 104 and TG of -1 for the effort, both of which put him right at the fore of the contender list, and he's versatile enough to press a slow pace or sit off a hot one. Not sure the value will be there, but he's frightening. 9 - YESBYJIMMINY (Eddie Plesa, Jr. / Manoel Cruz) Yes It's True bay has gone to post favored in eight of his nine career starts, which makes it ironic that his best race likely came when he was 7-1, running second to Street Magician in the $139,000 Aventura. Didn't appear to have much of an excuse when second to Finallymadeit last out, and he's got to make up ground on that one and some imposing shippers today from a wide post. Leaning elsewhere. 8 - Teuflesberg 2ND Last was just tremendous, now we'll see if it was an aberration 4 - Black Seventeen 1ST Ripping apart foes at HOL, they'll have to come and get him 6 - Finallymadeit Looks to be in better form than ever before 2 - Fate Takes a Hand Hasn't missed a beat since brief layoff EXACTA - $13.60 Last edited by ateamstupid : 07-07-2007 at 07:49 PM. |

Leg D (Race 11): 23RD RUNNING OF THE PRINCESS ROONEY HANDICAP (GRADE I). $500,000, F&M-3+, 6 FURLONGS.
1 - SONGOFTHESOUTH (Douglas Potter / Eddie Nunez) Concerto filly came out of nowhere with that last effort, running a new top by 13 points on the BSF scale and 4 1/2 points on the TG scale in taking a local N3L by 5 1/4 over a sealed track. Could've been that last nuance that contributed to the big effort, but perhaps she's turned a corner. She gets in very light and has shown versatility. Still seems to be on the outside looking in. 2 - NOSSA CANCAO (A.C. Avila / Omar Berrio) CA shipper did some good things in the winter, namely run a big second at 37-1 in the G1 Santa Monica H. at SA, although she's struggled to recapture that form since. She always seems to come with her run, but it rarely ever seems to be enough to get her across the wire first. Berrio confident enough to fly cross-country for the ride and closers usually fare well in Summit races, but she looks like an outsider at this point. 3 - INDIAN FLARE (Bobby Frankel / Aaron Gryder) Juddmonte mare certainly is very good when at her best, but it seems to take her quite a while to get back to her top after a big race, and she's coming off a very big effort with her score in the G2 Vagrancy H. at BEL. Dangerous and versatile, but questionable as to whether she can avoid regression. 4 - SELVATICA (Julio Canani / Jorge Chavez) Lightly-raced six-year-old certainly is familiar with the winner's circle, having scored seven times in 12 starts, including six of eight since summer of '05, and she's been earning very good figures in the process. Problem is, she's a need-the-lead type who will perhaps be racing against some other quickies as well as the grain of the racetrack. Gets the acid test. 5 - MARYFIELD (Doug O'Neill / Elvis Trujillo) Elusive Quality mare ran a big one two back in the G2 Distaff BC H. on the AQU inner, scoring by 2 1/4 despite trouble at 6-1, but she was far up the track in the G1 Humana Distaff and now her regular pilot, Chavez, ends up aboard the girl to her inside. She's very tough when on her game, but that big AQU win is clouded by a lot of other unimpressive flops in graded stakes competition. Can't endorse her. 6 - SHAGGY MANE (Don Chatlos, Jr. / Cornelio Velasquez) CA-bred filly has proven to be a very valuable $12,500 claim, reeling off four of five following the purchase, including the $300,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Sprint before fading in the Humana Distaff last out. Willing to forgive that effort, as it just seems like six furlongs is her maximum distance, and she cuts back to it today. Problem is there is an abundance of speed in this race and Chatlos has admitted that he's willing to go :43 and change to outrun Selvatica early. Not sure that's the smartest strategy on this oval. She's a tough customer, but going to try to beat her on top. 7 - G CITY GAL (Todd Pletcher / Chris Decarlo) Another speedster in a gassy field, this NY shipper scored under a confident ride in MTH N2X last out, and she certainly developed into a useful little runner last year, actually running third in last year's Azalea BC despite being steadied twice in the lane. Decarlo in for the ride, she's got good figures and gets in pretty light. Just a matter of how far she can lay back. 8 - RIVER'S PRAYER (Paula Capestro / Clinton Potts) Devon Lane gray comes into this tugging a three-race winning streak, but it wasn't exactly against terrors on the SA and HOL grass, although she did beat Indian Flare, a contender in here, in the G3 Las Cienagas H. She's pretty unproven on dirt though, and she hasn't shown the ability to stalk or sit off the pace. Pass. 9 - TRUE AND TRUE (Wesley Ward / Frank Alvarado) Bay four-year-old came back off a lengthy break to run third in the $45,000 No Winking locally, a reversal from her strong form at the end of her sophomore season. Other than the layoff, she didn't have much of an excuse, and not sure how much she's going to improve second back, considering that she drilled like she meant it for her return. 10 - MYKINDASAINT (Bubba Cascio / Gerard Melancon) LA shipper hasn't taken to the grass much, but ran a big one turf-to-dirt two back, scoring by 3 1/4 at 25-1 in the $73,000 Pan Zareta BC at FG. Didn't show much in her last start over this oval, popping and stopping in the Azalea BC. Nevertheless, she's been working well, will have her regular rider, has a barn that's superb off the layoff and will be a huge price. Mykindaplay. 11 - STOLEN PRAYER (Eddie Plesa, Jr. / Manoel Cruz) Comes into this off the best race of her life, an impressive score by 4 1/2 in the $50,000 Ema Bovary, and if she repeats that effort (1 3/4 TG), she's got a puncher's chance. Wide post isn't ideal though, so Cruz will have to do a lot of maneuvering to give this filly a real shot. 12 - DIXIE DREAMER (Marty Wolfson / Jermaine Bridgmohan) Should benefit from plenty of pace in the race, and the barn switch to Wolfson (who's hitting at 34% this meet) can only be positive, but she's yet to run a race big enough to suggest she can win this. Wouldn't count her out of the exotics though. 13 - MIRACULOUS MISS (Steve Klesaris / Jose Lezcano) Dead closer comes in off a layoff of over seven months, but if there's one runner in here who should get a beneficial setup, it's this one, and she's proven the ability to win at six furlongs despite spotting the field double digits. Main issues are the huge field, making navigation potentially difficult in the stretch, and the potential for nasty weather, as her worst run came over a wet track. Still mighty dangerous considering the fractions they're likely to run. 13 - Miraculous Miss Devastating kick picks 'em all off in the lane if run is clear and track is fast 7 - G City Gal 3RD Dangerous if able to pick up from year end form 6 - Shaggy Mane 2ND Cutback to six panels makes her pretty darn scary 3 - Indian Flare Harbors potential if able to watch duel from afar Last edited by ateamstupid : 07-07-2007 at 07:48 PM. |

Leg E (Race 12): 24TH RUNNING OF THE SMILE SPRINT HANDICAP (GRADE II). $500,000, 3+, 6 FURLONGS.
1 - WEIGELIA (Mike Trombetta / Cornelio Velasquez) Was starting to think this Safely Kept six-year-old was losing a step, then he busts out with a wire job in the Ponche H. two back, from the 12-hole no less. That effort earned him a -2 TG, besting his previous top of -1, so he's obviously got plenty of pep left in that step. Certainly takes to this course (17/8-2-2) and that can be key in Summit races. Working strongly at DEL for this. Will have to outrun some real quick ones to get to the front in here, so the rail draw isn't optimal, but he stands a longshot chance. 2 - HOW'S YOUR HALO (Brian Prichard / Manoel Cruz) Speedy colt really jumped up three back to run a huge and narrow second behind Paradise Dancer in the $40,000 Radar Love, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule, as he does a lot of retreating in most of his races. Was crushed by Mach Ride last out, albeit after contesting a hot pace, but he's made a living running behind some of these, and now he's got two tough shippers to deal with as well. Probably a pace casualty. 3 - PARADISE DANCER (Kirk Ziadie / Jose Lezcano) CRC veteran has kept his form tremendously since the $40,000 claim by Ziadie, winning a few overnights and running few bad races. Plenty capable of coming off the pace, which should serve him well in this, and he's been putting up some big numbers recently. He earned a -2 1/4 TG for his win over How's Your Halo last fall and earned a 106 BSF for his trouncing of Kopper Kilgoar before that. His last was certainly strong too, although he wasn't facing much. Definitely a threat from off the pace, probably at a fair price. 4 - FABULOUS STRIKE (Todd Beattie / Robby Albarado) The wild card to this race, this Smart Strike gelding showed serious promise running with some solid sprinters last spring and summer at BEL, but it wasn't until the fall that he really turned it on, starting a string of easy wins and giant figures at MNR. He ran 115, 119 and 118 on the BSF scale and -3 3/4, -6 and -5 1/4 on the TG scale at MNR before trying his luck in the G3 Aristides at CD last out. The result? Another easy win, a 115 BSF and -3 1/2 TG. With that said, he was allowed to walk through the first quarter-mile that day, and the race was over right about then, so we still don't know what he's going to do against a quality field on a pressured pace. Could be the real deal, and probably is, considering that he's been running big races for a long time now, but we'll see today if he's truly the cream of the crop. 5 - KOPPER KILGOAR (Tim Hills / Manny Aguilar) Notebook gelding has yet to run anything close to competitive with this caliber of field. 6 - MACH RIDE (Steve Standridge / Elvis Trujillo) Useful sprinter turned into a potential superstar with his last start, a monstrous front-running score in the $50,000 Champali, a race for which he earned a 108 BSF and -2 TG. Guess the blinkers really helped him out, eh? Super thing is that he's proven in the past that he doesn't need to be on the lead to be successful, so he looks like the best alternative to the top two. 7 - SMOKEY STOVER (Greg Gilchrist / Aaron Gryder) Connections of the fallen Lost in the Fog ship in this white-hot gelding, fresh off his third stakes win in a row, and he draws perfectly to stalk the pace or head out if for some reason there's a lack of pace. Recent figures (113, 105, 111 BSF, -3, -3/4, -3 1/2 TG) make him a clear contender and set up for a nice East/West showdown with Fabulous Strike. 4 - Fabulous Strike Won't get such an easy time of it against these 7 - Smokey Stover 3RD Should get the dream trip, hot to the touch 6 - Mach Ride 1ST New horse in blinkers? 3 - Paradise Dancer 2ND Old-timer can still throw down with the big boys EXACTA - $111.60 TRIFECTA - $396.40 Last edited by ateamstupid : 07-07-2007 at 07:47 PM. |
