Default Classifieds

Well, most folks that have been around this board know how much fun it is.
I enjoy this place immensely and appreciate the efforts of Steve, the mods, and the posters that all come here.
Anyway, I was thinking about Somerfrost's posts where he needed to find homes for his horse and dogs, and others that are interested in forming racing partnerships, or other potential deals.
So, if I'm not out of line for suggesting this, could a room be added for classifieds?
Thanks for considering this modest proposal.

Good idea.

I have a slightly used red headed wife (23 long years) I'd be willing to trade for a convertable, prefer Saab or Mustang

DTS,

It is a good idea. The one proviso I have with it is that providing space for such ads becomes a somewhat tacit endorsement of whatever is 'advertised'. My concern would be that if a 'deal' was to go wrong, or people were to be unhappy with a transaction initiated by said ads, they would hold it against the site... I suppose a disclaimer would mollify that issue. Appreciate the suggestion and will roll it around with the powers that Be.

Although, I think we can do without the "Casual Encounters" section...
