Default A quick hello

Well, I'm living in temporary exile in Ohio...no phone, no net and little money but at least I'm working! Got my first pay check yesterday but they deposited it into the wrong account, I can't access it! Hopefully it will be all better tomorrow...luck runs consistant! Just wanted to say hello and thank those who have helped me the past few weeks...Chad, Nancy told me that Skippy was bad for you...I'm so sorry, I think I will be able to get my own place by October, I'm gonna try and get a prepaid cell and call you as soon as possible...thanks again! I'm using a computer at the Goshen public Library right now, have a few minutes left on my "guest" status, I'll probably join so I can have some internet access...two computers where I live but ...oh well...!
Really miss Skippy, Gizmo and Cal, miss the folks here too...hopefully in a couple months I'll be back! Best to everyone...John.

Hey, Somer; if you read this- looking forward to you returning on a regular basis. Ohio isn't all THAT different from Central PA- lots of Amish there, too.

GR and Mort,
Ohio seems OK, I'm just outside Cincinnati and things seem pretty cool. Close to River Downs yet live in the country with deer and squirrels in the back yard. I miss my animals (Skippy has been kind enough to take care of my greyhound until I get a place of my own...others have new homes) but I'm just glad to be working after a year of boredom and life goes on! I joined the library a few minutes ago so I'll be able to get on-line whenever I have some time...going to try and get a cheap pre-paid cell today, might actually be part of the human race again soon! best wishes to everyone!

Hi guy.

Good deal.

It's much prettier and just better in NE Ohio. Too bad you couldn't have moved here. Now you're stuck with Greg.

Oh well.

Best wishes,
Mortimer

Hi John,

Glad to hear that things are going OK... that was so cool of Chad to watch your greyhound and I'm glad that the other animals found new homes.

Take care of you,

J

Thanks everyone...there are a lot of great folks on this board, you find out a lot about people when you are down, most turn away but not you guys! Thanks for the positive thoughts and encouragement and a special thanks to Skippy and ddthetide, I may never be able to repay your kindness but I damn sure never will forget!
John

Thumbs up

Somer great to see your post and that things are looking positive.I had a close friend of mine that lived right out of Cincy in a place called Maneville. One of the restaurants that i used to go with him was a place called the Montgomery Inn which had the best ribs i've ever had. That's of course if you eat meat.Once again glad to see your post and from here in NYC i wish you all the best.

Take care
Mark

Used to go to the pig in the poke by the convention center.Does Collingsworth still own that other restaurant on the river with some other former players?

It's a wonderful life if you don't weaken. Dig in and bear down things are looking up. Good luck my friend.
