Default Franchione

... just lost his contract for next year, no doubt in my mind.

And thats bad because ATM will now have a chance
to be better. Franchione has now screwed at least
3 schools... TCU, Alabama, ATM. Wonder who is next.

word is TAM has already contacted tubberville of aubarn. tubby knows he in trouble at the barn. the bad start this season and that Crimson program to the north is waking up.
the barn might beat Bama again this year for the 6th straight (God forbid) BUT tubby can already see the state is turning Crimson again !!
ROLL TIDE !!

If there was one thing ATM teams under Slocum did not do was quit. The team takes on the character of the coach. ATM made a huge mistake and they are paying dearly.

I just wish Texas was better so we could kick their butts in the last conference game and send Frachione on his way with a loss.

I should have subscribed to the Frachione inside info sheet where he must have said we have no answer for the blitz so we will just have the QB run for his life and fling it occasionally. I dont care how bad they are or how good Kansas supposedly is...losing like that was awful.

I didn't watch any of that game....

But Kansas has a D that has looked very good in bits and pieces of other games I've seen of them.

Where did this guy coach before the 3 schools mentioned? Seems to me he leapfrogged into big time from a smaller school!

They blitz all game long. A and M never picked it up and as a result the QB was running for his life ...

I'd rather have a lobotomy than watch A&M and Kansas play.

he was at Pittsburg St, 45-game winning streak and a couple NCs. New Mexico and a bowl game there. TCU and bowl games. 2 years at Bama. his wife couldn't take the pressure and wanted to go back to texas and the sanctions were about to come down on Bama and they were worse than anyone thought.

He is a slimy good recruiter.
He does not give a sh it about the kids.
I dont care what kind of ovation they gave him.

He flat out left kids in Alabama and TCU promising
them he would not leave. The only way is if the
school buys out his contract.

Most of these coaches will tell the kids upfront, and
their parents, that they do not plan on leaving, but if
a better offer helps the coach's family situation, they may have
an obligation to leave. The kids understand this.
Franchione is all about money and himself.

One thing must be clearly understood. These kids, even though
they might look like very large men, are kids. They dont know
what the crud is going on. They just want to play football.
And some of these coach's do nothing to educate them.
Like the senior 3 deep on the bench... are they making sure
he is going to class and going to graduate? Franchione does not
care. These coaches have an obligation to the kids to give
something back from the school who uses them for entertainment.

That is the unwritten contract of a good coach.
And he has to win games.

BTW.

The really large Kansas coach is doing a great
job with a bunch of Texas kids that the Texas
teams did not want.

But Kansas is really not that good imo.

coach fran left the kids at Alabama when they needed him and the steady influence the most. the recruiting sanctions were handed down a few weeks after he left. the way he left may have been even worse. took the kids to play in hawaii, lost a close game. he and his wife hopped a flight right after the game, WITHOUT the team, flew to T-town grabbed some stuff and off to TAM. left coach torbush and pollard to get the kids home and the AD to addres the kids that he had taken the TAM job. rumor was his wife had been packing the house before they went to hawaii.

But he likes strippers? That has to count for something doesn't it?
