Isn't it worth waiting to see if Gulfstream is on the turf? The indications I got yesterday were that this is doubtful.

Delta Weekend owes me some money. Obviously you prefer Alexander stretching out over Motion.

And, your selection of Buy A Personality is interesting, as he ran the SIGNIFICANTLY slowest 1M70yards of the day last out.

Sky Copper may prove a trap but I would rather take one I saw run than guess continually with firsters. Firsters are not good bets in these races.

I don't think the horse sucks. I can certainly make excuses for her effort last out. I just get the sense that there are better horses in the race.

Her debut has proven phony. Her second race was hideously bad. Maybe she was too close in her third race but she did no running.

Bad turf sprinters are even worse stretching out. She will take money and she is very weak.

I disagree with the assessment of her 3rd race. Leparoux made a HUGE ERROR in that race. He came off a WIDE OPEN inside, giving it up to Catmosphere, who shot through for the win. If he stays inside he has a clear run to the wire. Leparoux takes her outside and had her behind/between horses, bothered slightly late stretch, and she didn't really have a sustained clear run in the lane.

Nonetheless, there are much better options today.

While I usually don't like sprinters going 2 turns, I was impressed by Motion's horse last out.

You and I have a huge difference of opinion regarding horses making inside moves. You subscribe to the shortest route to the wire theory and I believe that most horses don't want to make their ultimate moves inside, or between, other horses and are much better racing unencumbered. Plus, horses with little racing experience are far more likely to be intimidated inside.

No we don't. We both, essentially, look for the horse that got the clear run. In this particular case, it wasn't about getting through a tight hole, DW, was in much tighter, on the rail, all the way around the track until that point. There was a huge opening on the inside in the lane and Leparoux just chose to go outside before entering. As it was, he found trouble outside, while staying inside would've given him a clear run.

What makes all this a nuisance is that while we both know that DW is not much horse, I have a more difficult time coming to that conclusion than you ---correctly or otherwise.

Right, I agree with the last part. Even if you are right about her last race, it's impossible to excuse the rest of her form.
