as an aside, i'm fascinated when someone proclaims themself to be 'color blind'... and then uses the term Jap for instance.

I don't care what the "facts" said one way or another - or if the information was bad or not. Common sense suggests that even if Suddam didn't have these weapons - he needed to posture as though he did for the security of his own Government. There is no way in hell Suddam, or anyone in his Govt really could have believed we would invade him. Put yourself in his head - Suddam and his Baath party stand for mostly everything bin Laden hates - bin Laden attacks America - how would that enemy on enemy attack logically trigger America to invade Iraq? It doesn't make sense to him. Obviously, Hussein thought America was just using 9/11 as an excuse to further crack down on him....but that they obviously wouldn't invade. If he thinks that - he has to state publicly that he doesn't have anything and know that no one trusts his words. However, it is important that he must posture with his actions to suggest he does have something. You can't expect a guy in his position, who doesn't believe his country will be invaded by us, to want it proven that he has nothing in the way of force to defend himself against other threats in the region. Once again - everyone gets all caught up in things like facts, expert knowledge, past occurrences etc. - when you simply need only read up on the person and his situation, put yourself in his shoes, and use common sense. |

I posted the video. It was up to YOU to make your OWN decision about the contents in the video. I witheld judgment. My main point: I would have thought that this story would have been circulating throughout the U.S. media because it is fairly significant. And that I hoped the Japanese were wrong in their accusations about the U.S. And as far as the Jap statement goes...It was an abbreviation. I didn't mean it in a derogatory way at all. Also, you were wrong about Congress approving to go to war in Iraq. The bill for the declaration of war with Iraq never went to Congress. And anyone who thinks incompetence to be the reason for the Bush Administration's statements regarding Iraq...well, I'll keep that opinion to myself. And like incompetence is any better anyway! So, how do you explain the Bush Administration's lies by saying that they never said their original lies....all of this is in documents and on national television BTW? I guess that was incompetence too... lol. And you say my logic is skewed!?! Insulting my intelligence or my college won't get you anywhere. Nor will implying that I am a racist get you anywhere. By the way, I date an Asian. Just because you can't understand what I am trying to say, does not make me wrong. Also, you haven't answered any of my questions. Of course, I knew they were rhetorical when I first asked them. |

My seemingly unlogical approach has proven right every single step of the way - while all the approaches everyone else has gone with have been proven wrong every step of the way.
Mortimer, in international politics, there are no such things as facts. No such things as experts. The second best approach to mine - I believe is to simply listen to the conclusions of the so called experts and just assume the complete opposite will prove true. It so often does. |

I should clarify by saying "every single step of the way" - I mean two steps.
My record is 2-0. The experts and our govt are 0-2 so far. |

Just because people make generalized statements, doesn't mean that they are true on an individual basis.... Besides, men worry about that way too much in general. For most women, at least the ones that I have talked to, that is way on down the list in terms of importance. America still does have alot further to come when it comes to race... I think Cannon is curious about their penis sizes.
The tip off that led me to this conclusion is, after he asked, he said he feels like Morty. |
