Great movie.....however I think many would refer to Schnabel as you referenced the others. Though, I am guessing it would be harsher than clown. |

He also directed Before Night Falls with Javiar Bardem which is very good. He's a terrific director. |

Well...now don't get me wrong---you are correct here.....but the lack of any fluid storyline whatsoever is the thing that held it back. |

It's always watching Tom Hanks as someone. I never believe him. Before Night Falls was a great film. |

Saving Private Ryan?
Please Morty. The original Planet of the Apes is better. Spielberg lost me after Jaws and Close Encounters. I do love Close Encounters. By the way, I would add Stolen Kisses to my list. It's a great movie. |

My favorite Truffaut is Day for Night. The Last Metro was good too. I can't remember Jules and Jim..... saw it way too long ago. |

I really liked it..I really did. I didn't even know he did this movie.CE and Cajunatah---I mean Jaws are very big on my list, too. I do judge a movie in a technical way...without being a very technical movie person, but even more so I judge it on how much it moves me-----how much emotion it digs out of me; thus my inclusuion of this fine film. I never heard of SK. |

Stolen Kisses is Truffaut. It's a sequel to the 400 Blows. Part of four, or five depending on how you look at it, semi-autobiographical movies he made. |

Is the Last Metro Deneuve and Depardieu? Day for Night and Jules and Jim are terrific movies. Most of his stuff is great. |

Wow, forgot about 400 Blows. Did you ever see La Notte, the Antonioni film? |

I was very tempted to put Horror of Dracula here. Those Christopher Lee/Hammer serial movies were to die for.

I haven't seen much Antonioni. The Passenger and Blow Up and one of his supposed classics which I barely remember.
