ArlJim,

You are usually one of my favorite posters on here. I generally think your posts are intelligent and insightful.......but man......this is the least interesting thread in the history of this board.

I'm trying to figure this out. Is the point that about 30 people make up most of the posts on the forum?

Is it really a psychological test and you're not telling us?

Maybe that's it!

Maybe we should all look and tell you what it is we see in it.....

ha ha guys,

miss storm cat had it right, I was just pointing out little things like 18 people account for 50% of the posts.

didn't think this was going to be a thread that would generate any real excitement, but hey, it's a slow wed night.

no scavs, alcohol was not involved, just my tendency to gravitate towards number and data analysis, its what I do.

but miraja! ouch, least interesting thread in the history of the board? with over 2400 threads that's quite an ignominious honor. I come across threads everyday that hold no interest to me, I always just move on and don't chime in about how uninteresting they are to me. at least this was something different!

Yeah you are right. It proably isn't the LEAST interesting. If you take into account all 402 pages of that thread regarding Lost In The Fog after the Summit of Speed, that would probably get my vote for least interesting. Or perhaps it would be one of the 14 threads that I have been heavily involved in that all basically go like this.
1/2 the people (including me) - "Circular Quay is REALLY good."
the other 1/2 - "No he isn't."
Us again - "Yes he is"
Them Again - "No he isn't"
Us - "Yup"
Them - "Nope"

etc. etc. etc.

That chart looks exactly like our checking account after my wife has obliterated the entire balance. Usually takes 3 days.

Oh yea!!! Do I win a prize?

Never mind..... you're already doing me a huge favor. Ssssh!

As far as most boring thread? No way! i love this thread. It's all in the delivery though... in the presentation.

I hate hit-you-over-the-head info (which you NEVER do) but in this case it might have helped if we had known what we were looking at (although i still see the boat).

How about something like this next time..... (music, please...) -

* * * * *

The New and Improved, Official and Amazing Forum Stats Game - Where Did YOU Rate?

Find yourself on the chart! Go on... i dare you. Ten points if you're correct, 5 points if you answer every question right and 10 more points for the bonus round!

Examnple question #1 - Are you one of the chosen 17 and if so, why?

Is it because you...
a. need a life
b. have a lot to say
c. have nothing to say but say it anyway
d. don't bother me now, I'm drinking and dreaming of Ghostzapper

Bonus round!

For extra points, find the hidden sailboat in the chart.

Ready, set, go!

* * * * *

Maybe something like that next time?

This is a fantastic thread, Jim. And I consider it a great honor to be the first bored member with less than 100 posts to respond. Awesome work, my friend.

Oh yes, you're 100% correct miss storm cat. I didn't sell it or present well at all, which is why it landed with such a thud!

I should have just forwarded it to you and said simply "here is some material, see if you can do something with it". With your creativity I'll bet there is any number of games/questions you could have concocted on this.

Pete Mugg, i detect just a hint of sarcasm in your comment? If I'm wrong, and you really do consider it an awesome thread, you just may need to seek help like I do. lol

Sarcasm? Moi?

Actually AJ, the stats are something I'm sure we all had a hint about. I imagine the gals already completely devoured theses figures as they read from thread to thread. But I think I speak for most of the guys when I say that the visual stimulation produced by your illustration was quite necessary for us Y chromers to fully appreciate the collection of data. Just kinda how we are.

Or maybe we do need that help.
