This is from Kee site on rules dated 3/25/08:

Pick 6:
    1. a. In the event of a late scratch after Pick 6 wagering has concluded, the bettor receives the actual post time favorite as evidenced by the amount wagered in the win pool at the time of the start of the race.
    2. b. In the unlikely event the condition of the turf course warrants a change in racing surface, see "c" above.
So yes it does go to favorite at Kee, there would have been no confusion without TVG.

Congrats to LAVA...that's great. Alweeja got me too, should have listened to Hooves he had it in his selections. Had the 6 and the 1 but no 9.

It wasn't concluded....

Didn't you say you didn't get refunded? Is it a consolation?
When they put the P6 #'s up it said 2,3,7 for that leg.
Someone has to have the answer, not that I have a dog in this I'm just confused.

They obviously gave the people with the 2 & 3 the favorite.

The problem lies with their website stating that after the wagering closes you get the favorite. So, I read that as any late scratches in the 4th race get you refunded and any late scratches in the 5th through 9th races gets you the post time favorite.

When the 2 & 3 scratched out of the 4th, the wagering was still open.

They and every other jurisdiction, just need to be crystal clear when they are posting scratch rules on their website. It's yet another thing that can turn off the casual fan. The different wagering rules from track to track and vagueness in their posted rules for wagering. It is low on the list of problems, but it is a problem.

Lava..

Just getting a chance to spend a few minutes catching up and wanted to say congratulations on a fabulous job of structuring winning plays. As when BTW started the concept of these exercises, the idea is to show how difficult it is to accomplish P6 hits with minimal investment. Whether you play the 4 figure tickets or not isn't the point as much as helping players hone their winner identification and ticket building skills. Yesterday's KEE skien showed once again that even when there aren't $20+ horses in a sextet, it's a paramount challenge to string the winners together and the payoffs are still grand...

Please send me your address, etc. so I can send you out a DT prize.. Very proud of how many here continue to negotiate these carryover cards with increasing regularity as it seems a sign that many continue to improve with practice and will be more confident at a certain point to play live tickets. Congrats to all the AQU 6 knockout artists and 5/6 hitters as well... All winning players need to PM me too!

5 of 6 is indeed a winner... Think of it as one of those McDonald's minor prize winners though... Free fry or sundae kind of prize..
