Default My champion Catahoula Dog died today.

His name was Southern Lights Shaka Zulu and everyone knew who he was. He was a champion livestock and hunting dog. He was 9.5 years old and I remember the moment he was born, he has never left my side. We loved him so much. He was Top Ten in the nation before he was 6 months old. He was black and kind of ugly and everyone made fun of him except when it came to hunting.
He died in his sleep last nite.
I am so sad and I can't sleep so here I am on the internet late at night looking at his pictures and trying to take my mind off it.
Zulu was my friend, my companion and my bodyguard and I will miss him so much. He was a good boy.

Sorry for your loss.

Did he like music? If so, was he a fan of A Tribe Called Quest?

Beth,

Very sorry to read about the passing of your Catahoula.. I had never heard of the breed before this morning, but they sound like wonderful companions.

I'm sure his memory will always brings you joy...

For everybody to see Beth's interesting dog...

Wuffie Heaven awaits.

Good thing The FROZEN ONE doesn't post here or he would yell at you for something.

I don't care for fancy doggies,by the way, but I'm sure you feel bad and so my finest wishes set sail through the air hoping to find your behind.

Straight up....you and me....we're there......you know it.

Being a pet owner is hard knowing that you will most likely out live your companion. I feel your pain and hope that you can find joy with the great memories and times you had with your dog.

Now---I have to intrude here.

"I feel your pain."....????

Oh come on now.

You don't.

You can't.

Just say something honest....keep it real....and move on.

OK?

I think if you had not said "my champion"....I would feel a lot worse.

His life was worth no more nor no less than "my Sammy"....who died sometime ago.

He was my finest wuffie ever....and he was a huge mistake by several nonbreeders. ...was supposed to be a toy collie.....bought from a dishonest ice cream vendor.

Grew to weigh 70 pounds and stand 5 feet tall on his hind legs.

There was no "toy" in him.

He looked collie-ish...sheppard-ish...and even labish.

But there was never a finer wuffie...never. Haven't had one since.

Oh God I need a country song now.

Yes...they don't mean to fornicate .

Demons make them do it.

But back to the main tissue---I mean issue.

I hope no one thinks me without soul....this would be an untruth. I merely try to point out priorities.....and proper places for certain things.

But I am sorry your doggie died.......I forgot your name, but you know who I mean.

I will now exit this thread.

It's FGFan.

Her dog is like the baby of the family. And as any proud competitive parent would do, they put their baby in beauty pageants.

There's nothing wrong with that. It might not be what you would do with your child, but that doesn't make it funny and/or peculiar.

Oh..well it's peculiar. But there's nothing wrong with that.

And of course all doggies are equal.

Except for Shih Tsus.
