Default Best Interleague Rivalry

The all-time series is tied 33-33. ... The crowd of 39,573 was the third straight sellout and sixth of the season for the White Sox. There were several fights in the stands. ... Aramis Ramirez, who homered four times against the White Sox last weekend, went 0-for-13 in the three games. ... The White Sox turned four double plays Sunday night.

I'm not a registered you tube user so I can't access it, but there is supposed to be great video from the brawl in the upper deck Saturday at The Cell.

Should be a fun series in St. Pete starting tonight, Red Sox vs. Rays.

Their records aside, there hasn't been a consensus among the players that the brawl in Boston last month, is over. Jonny Papelbon says, "this thing isn't at all settled and done". Trevor Miller of the Rays says, "the ball is in his court" referring to Papelbon.

12 Hit batters in Rays-Sox games this season, most between any two teams.

22 Suspensions stemming from Rays-Red Sox incidents since 1998.

78 Rays hit by Sox pitchers 1998-2008, most of Rays opponents, third most by Sox.

97 Sox hit by Rays 1998-2008 out of 790 total Rays HBPs, most of Rays opponents.

These teams have really grown to hate each other over the years. Should be a lot of fun over the next three nights.

I just hope the 35000 Red sox fans in the seats dont decide to fight the poor Rays fans, all 27 of them...

The 27 fans will hold their own in a rumble. Most of the Boston fans down here are over 60 (Boston natives) or under 20 (bandwagon "fans").

It just fires the Rays up. Doesn't matter who the people in the crowd are rooting for, they are 30-13 at home, including sweeps of the Red Sox, Cubs and Angels.

Your boy Longoria is heating up nicely for you.

Got a PM from a certain person, he wants to bet on the series. This is becoming too easy, will you co-sign for him?

Shields vs Masterson
Garza vs Wakefield
Kazmir vs Matsuzaka

Like taking candy from a baby.....

Almost renewed my mlb.com subscription today (to watch the Redsox Rays throw at each other tonite.) Decided against it. Already paying too much for a sports package with DISH. Wish they had it on ESPN. They are showing the Mets(instead.) I don't want to see that. I want to see the RAYS-REDSOX "protecting their players."

Upton homers to lead off the game.

Third batter Aybar gets plunked.

It has started already.
