Default SCAV

Have you seen the runs that Milwaukee keeps putting up? They gave up a 5 run lead in the 9th inning on Thursday. Their relievers never got an out in the 9th. They get on a plane, and take 3 straight from Pittsburgh. Pretty mentally tough team right now. Other than last night, the Dodgers are doing a good pitching job. I think you better hope we are too stupid to get together and trade players with Milwaukee. They got what we need (n' vice versa.)

The Brewers have reportedly traded for CC Sabathia, which won't help the cubbies either.

Lots of pressure having to always have 2 teams right behind you(that won't relent.) Dodgers are sitting right there with pitching to trade for bats. Kuo throwing 96-98, and Broxton throwing 100(with nobody on base, of course.)

Broxton(with nobody on base) can strike out almost anybody with the 100mph heat. He just needs to get a pitching coach that will make him stop thinking like a woman. What can the Brewers give us to help score runs?

With the way this Morrow kid is throwing the ball, im surprised the mariners arent actively shopping JJ Putz. I know he is injured but he would command a serious bounty if they decided to put him out there.

Pinella would fix that real quick. He yells at pictures like crazy including Marquis the other night, when he walked out to the mound and you can see him say "THROW ****ING STRIKES" and then he walks away

With the addition of CC, the crew now has 2 solid pitchers that can go the distance. Their bullpen will benefit from that and be used less than most. Sheets and CC both can pitch complete games. Plus now either Stetter or Bush goes to the pen which helps. The crew will also put up runs. Braun and Fielder have been struggling yet JJ Hardy has been on fire! Lots of offense and now 2 starting pitchers that can compete with any team in the NL 1-2. 4 game set at the end of this month at miller park with the cubbies. I can't wait!

I don't think the crew has anything to help you right now, unless you want a guy who can only hit lefties (hall) or only righties (branyan). Other than that maybe Tony Gwynn Jr, but I think he is off the market now that they traded Laporta.

Default Cubs fans start saying wait til next year.

The trade the brewers made has to make them the favor to win the central. First of all, the schedule favors the brewers. The cubs have yet to play the brewers at miller park. Also if its close at the end in late september, the cubs have to finish the season at miller park. The cubs have been hot at home, however lets not forget the brewers have took four of six from the cubs at the so called friendly confines. So the crew shouldn't be intimidated at all by the cubs. Plus the brewers may have gallardo ready to pitch by late september. Not to mention manny parra is pitching well. As we all know the cubs are well know to choke in pressure situation. Great move brew crew! Get ready to cry cub fans. Yeah go ahead blame it on bartman!

Default Torres has been excellent as closer!

As for criticizing the bullpen, you need to take a look at what torres has done. He has been nearly perfect since becoming the closer. He for some reason is an underrated pitcher and gets no respect. If the brewers had him start there who knows what there record would be. There bullpen is fine and the brewers are the hottest team in baseball. If gagne can regain any of his form, the bullpen will be tough. With him and shouse setting up torres they will be fine. Along with that, the addition of Sabbathia helps the bullpen. He throws late into many of his game and even has a few complete games. The brewers also have one of the strongest minor league systems in the majors and didn't mortgage it all a way in the trade. The huntsville team is loaded with prospects. So don't be surprised if the crew make some other moves. Go crew!

Come on now bratwurst. You went to the bottom of the 9th on Thursday with a 5 run lead, and never got an out. Granted, the night before, Torres got out of a pickle nicely. I'd get a lil more help there.

Default whatever did you see the game wasn't torres fault.

Did you see the game? No yost put in motta he walks first two then a single. Brings in shouse and he gives up a double. By the time torres got in the situation was not to be blamed on him. Hes due to have a bad outing. The thing that impressed me is the players didn't dwell on the loss and swept pittsburgh. Unlike cub fans who still believe in a jinx and blame bartman for not making the world series. Before you make a statement check the facts before talking and oh yeah cub fans get ready to say your famous quote: You watch next year is our year! Should be good at it since its been 100 years!!!!!!!

I didn't see it. I've seen that **** enough with Broxton giving it up severe. I do know ya can't rely on Torres alone. As far as Thursday though. I don't know what you're talking about. Torres came in and gave up a single to Upton. Then O Hudson doubled to deep left, and C Jackson singled to center. That's 3 hits, and no outs. HOW THE FCK YOU GIVING TORRES A PASS ON THAT? Ya using him 3 games in a row in that spot. Doing that's an issue. Dodgers would have a 1 game lead if ya fkn pin do their job. Get some more help. Clean dat s-h-i-t up, or it's gunna repeat like Italian food.
