"misinformed" ha, i was also under the impression they were looking to unload SA, but i guess Frank didn't know what he was talking about in his conference call. IMO its wise to wait after the BC to really dive into possible sales of SA.

such a smart horse man, and yet such a bad business man when it comes to race tracks

Frank made a couple of bets on the common sense of maryland politics. He lost...big time.

And he's still holding a dead hand in MD. I don't think the slots referendum will pass because the tide is turning against it being a State constitutional amendment. Frank needs to bail in MD while he still has something to sell.

Any idiot knows how to make a profit. It takes a smart businessman to know when to cut and run......

Sure, I'll explain...

guy has a business conversation. It doesn't go great. So instead of moving on or taking another try, he tells the "press" (a term used loosely, as Paulick solicits "donations" on his "Report"). Yeah, the Magna guy is an idiot for responding in kind, but you tell me, how is this "news?"

If Minor is so very interested in buying Santa Anita, why would he basically trash out Magna to Ray Paulick? And why does he chase down this guy while he's on vacation? It's all bullshit.

Minor has probably figured out by now that any Hialeah deal has to go through Magna to at least some extent to work. Do you really think Stronach is just going to give away January?

As for Paulick, tell me, how is this news? He's a guy who has said that the state of horse racing blogs is sad yet he's blogging (or however you care to characterize his "Paulick Report") and is soliciting donations for doing so.

It is all bullsh1t.
