I am officially on the team that says this is the most unpredictable inconsistent rider in the entire game. He takse student council in the 1st race 12 llengths off the pace knowing no one has been making up a lot of ground the past couple days. The next race he gives an awesome ride to a horse that on paper looks very quetionable. Its impossible to bet or bet against him and it pisses me off because horses he should at least be close with he puts them in awful positions while horses like this 15-1 shot in the 2nd he gives them these picture perfect rides. Ay yay yay.

I'm not saying that he is a bad rider or overrated and I know it is alot of gogo threads but this was unreal. He gave an awesome ride in the 2nd I just don't get what was going through his head in the 1st.

In all fairness, Student Counsil should not have been the fav. But his ride on the 4 in the 2nd was a very good ride. Remember, you can win them all.

I didnt say anything about Student Council winning cause he was not the best horse in the 1st but at least put the horse in a position where he can win. Thats all I ask for of a rider.

No matter what position that horse was in, he couldnt win the race.

He belonged in a different race. That horse was completely over his head.

Thats my problem with go-go. He has given some of the best rides i have ever seen and some of the worst. All riders have good and bad races and days, but no one is as bipolar as gomez. Makes it very hard to bet him because you dont know who is going to show up. I

I didn't see the race but I did look at the charts. They were going really fast early on. If the turf course was playing normal, I would say that he was in the right position. But as you said, the turf course does appear to be favoring speed right now. Gomez had no way of knowing that because that was the first race of the day. The turf course may have also favored speed yesterday but you know how these tracks can change from day to day.
