Default Blackberry Curve 8330

Anyone have one of these?? More specifically with Verizon Wireless.

Any problems or issues I should be aware of?

Beware of pocket dailing. Very easy if you don't always lock the keyboard. Mine always hits the same number too. Poor Quentin (my neighbor) has gotten some very early morning wake ups.

I have mine with AT&T. Email/text is great, phone is average, internet is non-existent. I am jealous of how quickly the iphone naviagtes the internet.

That's the only problem I have with my Blackberry, don't assign a speed dial to the letter "D", either lock or put in a hard case. Verizon's service is the best IMO.

i have a world edition (8830) and it autodials 911 sometimes. very embarassing when they call back saying "do you have an emergency, we just got a call from this number" "no, that's just my azz dialing numbers"

I don't know what your problem is, but I could not get a good signal for hours this week and found out there glitch in the software in Verizon system. Had to take it in and in 5 minutes they reprogramed it.

Kev, Love mine. VZ Wireless is spot on at least here in Tampa. The pocket dialing is a real issue though - mine has a unique way of assigning speed dial numbers to letters and dialing the same person until I delete it... I just keep the keyboard lock on the main screen an hit it when I put it away... I'm sure there is a way to program it to stay on by default, but I'm too lazy to look into it

Thanks everyone. My two year contract was expired, so I got a free upgrade. I have been with verizon forever and love their customer service. I will have to keep an eye on the whole pocket dialing issues.

I assume other than Spyders connection issues, there have been no technical issues with the phones?

i banged mine rhythmically against a rock.

apparently, that's not good for them.

and to tell the truth they are very poor percussion instruments.

otherwise i have no issues.

I've had to replace the trackball twice...the phone is not designed for barn use (abuse) and the trackball gets clogged with the hay bits in my pockets and then freezes up and won't work. Very frustrating...but on the plus side I have dropped it hundreds of times on the concrete and submersed it in water by accident and it still works.

I can imagine mine would be more apt to clog up with broken shells from Peanut M&M's in my pocket
