I love these bullshit injuries to cover up bad performances. After that rodeo to the first turn quite a few get their bumps and bruises but keep performing.

I personally don't think it's BS. The horse was slammed at the start which hurt his chances of getting to the front of the field. He's a horse that needs to be near the front. He didn't get there and probably didn't respond well to the dirt/mud in the face. Not to mention the grabbed quarter.

Friesan Fire Green Cap, Green Blinkers/Hood

#7 Papa Clem(yellow cap) bumps Friesan Fire out of the gate possibly stepping on his right front and definitely knocking him to our right.

As a result of the collision with Papa Clem, Friesan Fire was probably kicked about here by #5 Hold Me Back(white blaze). Larry Jones said that the horse was bleeding on his LEFT FRONT HOOVE.
If this is the actual Hoove to Hoove impact, i was lucky, - it could have been from Papa Clem directly, or any of the frames around here or a few frames later when the traffic bunches, or in the gate...

TRM (The Fat Man) is spreading the rumor that Friesan Fire is a go for the Preakness.

Why? Do you not believe that he could have grabbed a quarter? Do you even acknowledge that he encountered trouble at the start, that led to his poor performance? Or do you think it's the trainer just coming up with excuses why his horse ran so poorly?
As far as the Preakness goes, I personally think that there is no shot of him running there.

It seems like an axe to grind with Jones. Similar to Fat Man's quickness to jump into the "I told you he never had encountered trouble" role...

I must really suck(come on guys slow morning and that was a hell of a setup),

... but I am just now getting a grasp of all these trips from the derby.
Overhead cam , headon cam and pan angles not withstandind.

Today's New York paper either the Post or Daily News lists him as probable. So either the injury was extremely minor or they don't give a crap about the horse. After last year's tragedy with EIGHT BELLES I doubt they would do wrong by the horse. So it looks like he got some interference that hampered his start but not unlike many go through in that race. So maybe he wasn't as good as people thought. needs to be in the clear away from dirt or slop hitting him or left his race in the barn with the layoff and fast work.

EDIT ALERT.......Here's The NY Post link...http://www.nypost.com/seven/05052009...ess_167722.htm
