Ziggy's Stardust comes from a very versatile Elmendorf family. Both his dam and 2nd dam were graded stakes winners and both handled turf and dirt. Ziggy's Act is the granddam of both Barcola and Tizaqueena.
The extra ground should help this horse after closing late in two sprints. Given the bottom side and sire Maria's Mon, he might ultimately show his best on the grass.
