Default Wonderful John's Call injured in accident, euthanized

So many great memories of this outstanding gelding... RIP. Will get Tom Voss on ATR tonight.

John’s Call, a grade I winner and millionaire for Douglas Joyce, was euthanized Feb. 18 at trainer Tom Voss’ farm near Monkton, Md., according to Joe Clancy of Steeplechase Times. The 19-year-old gelding by Lord At War out of the Be My Guest mare Calling Guest had broken his right front leg in a field accident.

I believe he was the age of nine when he won the Sword Dancer at the Spa and Val's Prince rounded out the exacta at age eight. Love those old turf campaigners!
