In the old days - - The best Manhattan Clam Chowder was served by Harry M. Stevens at the BIG A !!!!! (never forgot to add the hot sauce)

I make three very good soups. French onion, bisque and a cream of crab that's to die for. Sans crackers!

I'm with you on the split pea, although I do believe it is progresso not campbells that has the best.

I'm fond of Oyster and Artichoke, Shrimp and Crab bisque..but oh come to think of that may never have those again THANKS BP OIL...

Guess I'll stick to the split pea, has to have carrots though, lots and lots of carrots.

oh and just simple, plain old tomato soup.

Fish soup sucks,too.




You did hit the button with the split pea. In normal times, the addition of fine carrots and potatos is quite admirable.I think HungryMan makes the best in that category.


But no one will ever know just how good that simple little can of Campbell's split pea tasted.




I guess you had to be there.




And I think split pea has won this soup contest.
