Every time a know-it-all like Wilbon, for example, opens his mouth regarding racing, he displays how ignorant he is. Mainstream sports media that go out of their way to demean racing are invariably types that have never experienced the sport and are intimidated by its' nuance.
Look at how Jim Rome has been captivated by racing upon being introduced to it. If ever there is an example of how one type of broadcaster or writer instantly understood the mystique and majesty of racing as a sport, it's Jim Rome.
