Definitely some quality in here, nice little race even with the smallish field.

RHT says Sighty can put her picks for the whole card on his blog and then she'll almost certainly bump me from the #5 slot.

You had 9 sophs in the Jefferson Cup (incl. Gleam of Hope, Asphalt, Lost Aptitude, Guys Reward) last Saturday, and 5 in the Hill Prince (incl. Krypton, Nordic Truce) the week before. So who are the missing 'major' 3yo turf horses? The Cup/VA Derby closed with 60 nominations (See below)... A few possibles weren't nominated like Chief Council, Call Shot and Setsuko. Who is supposed to be in this field that isn't?

Typically, it gets 9 or 10. There were 9 last year incl. Battle of Hastings, Straight Story, Lime Rickey, Take the Points, Al Khali, Rescue Squad, Mark S the Cooler, Final Count, Winning Vow. In 2008, 10 incl. Sailor's Cap, Nistle's Crunch, Your Round, Court Vision, Adriano, Baltimore Bob, El Sultry Sun, Sporting Art, Boss Lafitte and Kentucky Bear. Nice in 2007: Summer Doldrums, Strike a Deal, Souvenir Slew, Mysterious Pientre, Love Dubai, Soldier's Dancer, Brainy Benny, Mint Slewlep and Time Squared.

It would be fitting since they have the Rhythm, Bets and Brews festival on track that day.

I figured Lentenor would be in here. Thought Nordic Truce too, but forgot his race was only 2 weeks earlier.

Go Two Notch Road. Paid 220 bucks last year to win in his first turf effort.

Im keying Todd in the back end.
The turf sprint is wide open, maybe an all-2-1 type ticket for one play.
The middle leg Im tossing the 3,4,5 that leaves me with the 1 as my A and maybe MAYBE SHUG.

I wasn't questioning who should and shouldn't be in there, giving away 500k and only 7 owners want to take a shot. It was more speaking in terms of the lack of good horses and too many races for the 'class'
