Default Late night at Polywood 6/25

Only a few more Friday's left.

RACE 1 CLM25K N2L 1 1/16
#4 CONCERTO'S THUNDER-Just missed at this level on 5/7, almost went wire to wire that day. This race doesn't seem to have any speed so a repeat of that performance could get him home. Has been competitive against better the last 2 out on the lawn. Only other negative besides his 1/28 record is he ran 6 days ago and is coming back quickly. O'neill is winning at 22% with this manuver.
He might even be a single on some tickets
#3 LAKE MEZA-Taking this horse making his 3rd start off a year layoff. Ran some decent races at this distance when he was a 3 yeard old. Was 2nd last out to a runaway winner. Trainers horses have been hitting the board and rolling the dice that this now 5 year old will improve the third time off the bench.

RACE 2 MDSPWT 41K 6F TURF
#3 LUNADA BAY-Captain obvious horse going out for Baffert, picking up Bejerano and putting on the shades for the first time. Another probable single, is making his first start on the weeds. Only other speed in the race seems to be the 5 who is 0-fer 9 and will probably back up quickly.
#7 INITUITIVE NATURE-If the 3 starts backing up in the lane then this Warren runner might be there late. He seems to be working well for his 4th career start. He just missed on the hill at SA in his debut at 6 1/2 furlongs.

RACE 3 MD40K 1 1/16
#7 BIG WAGS-This horse is making attempt at going two turns (first was on the turf against mdnspec. company). Ran 2nd last 3 tries while going shorter. Thinking a stretch out might help this runner.
#3 LYONS BARTON-This 290k son of Lion Heart is making a plunge in only his 2nd career start. Is a bit worrisome, but seems to be in against a very weak field.
#2 WASH PARK-In for a tag for the first time in career start number 5, this 3 year old might try to go right to the front in this race that doesn't have much speed in it either.
#8 MAGICAL INSTINCT-This gelding is making is debut for the Peter Eurton barn who is having a solid meet. Like my friend Rudeboy taught me, in a field like this why not with this first timer who has been working at 6 and 7 panels.

RACE 4 CLM 8K 5 1/2F
#6 SIDEPOCKET LOU- This closer should benifit from the amount of speed in the race and also from breaking closer to the outside. Does retain a jock that is about 2/54 in the meet but should get the right set-up.
#2 DOLRDOLRBILLYALL-Seems to be the speed of the speed. Breaking towards the rail and making a drop to his personal bottom. Is a bit worrisome but Rosario takes the mount. Tossing the last one on the weeds and a repeat of the 2 races prior could get it done.
#8 CHANGING-Tough to toss a horse who's trainer is winning at 56% for the year (with very limited numbers). Picks up a very heady jock that always seems to blow up the tote board in Quinonez. Not sure this 8 year old could go with the speed, but just have a feeling that he will be trying to pick up the pieces late.

Right now the ticket is looking like
3,4
3,7
2,3,7,8
2,6,8
$48

Could change with or without scratches. If I get a chance I will try to do the late quad. Good Luck and hopefully see everyone in the thread playing tonight.

Just in from a sunset cruise on the gulf (taking advantage while it's still blue)

Race 1 thoughts.... Concerto's Thunder - O'neill opts for Rosario to get this rat who has hung 4 times already at the condition over the hump... Include but no single especially at 1-9... Pace is favorable for Exuma to move up here at a juicy 13-1

I played my original posted ticket.
3,4
3,7
2,3,7,8
2,6,8
$48 $48.10 So bad that it's comical, but at least I showed a profit!

Logic dictates that the 6th is a two horse race, and Oliver is just better... Not a solid single late, but if you can get him by there is value in the night cap...Or shorten up the last and spread against what most will single in the 6th.... A conundrum...

I like the 11 in the nightcap as an include with the two favs, but need to look at the 7th again cause id like to go 5 deep there...

Agreed the 6th is a 2 horse race.

The last race is wide open. I could make a case for a couple of bombs and will probably be 4 deep there and thats with leaving a few off the ticket.
