Shows like Damages, LOST, The Wire etc. get their attention because they make them think. The first time I heard Jeff Lynne speak he was telling the reporter that ELO would exceed the accomplishments of the Beatles. I may a mental note to put Mr Lynne in the "Wheel..." category as his music doesn't seem to live up to his expectations.

The gig is not exactly Jeff Lynne's solo tour for legendary musician's but a charity started in 1976 which had a 10 year anniversary at this show.
The Prince's Trust concert was highlighted by a memorable rendition of Harrison and Clapton doing the Beatles white album classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps..." Ringo and Elton added a little superstar color, Jeff Lynne might have organized the janitors that night but your going to have look a little further for Lynne's superstar involvement at this show.

There aren't a lot of Elton Johns out there. Each one of these people is one in a million. There are very few of them. These people have an amazing ear for music and they can write great melodies. Jeff Lynne has sold tens of millions of albums and he is highly respected in the business by his peers. What is your musical background so that you not only think you have a better ear than the general public but a better ear than all the stars that have asked Jeff Lynne to produce their albums? Why would you think you have a better ear than everyone else? Do you have perfect pitch or something?

......ahhhhhhh NO he hasn't sold tens of millions. This is my problem with this whole Jeff Lynne is a superstar mentality. Stop embelishing the facts... Try this one....The link is every band with 50 million and more of sales. You won't find Jeff Lynne or ELO. They'd done the Wilburys, and I was expecting him to lead it that way. No he wasn't......it's one thing to massage your upright base on stage and another to match Clapton's solo on Harrison's WMGGW's.......
