![]() BTW and ATS, the instant Homer called us all Zenyatta Haters, it became clear he's a Zenyattard, thus, despite his protests claiming otherwise, it's simply not possible to have a reasonable conversation with him.
To me, people like him are just completely unworthy of dealing with. I like to poke fun at CSC and Smooth Operator, because they, for the most part, are genuine in their position (as ridiculous as it is), but Homer is dishonest and disingenuous in his arguments. Why bother? |

You said RA should be HOY. Whoopdy ding dong. You said it after the fact. You are betting heavy against Zenyatta? You are lying, or you are trolling. Who is being stupid? Me for replying after what I just said. Da Hoss, ATS and BTW for wasting their time with you, and you, for being born. |

![]() No, it's not. The Derby is the biggest race for three-year-olds, the Classic is the biggest race for elders. Try again.

![]() You're so stupid, it's unbelievable. What you're saying was exactly her point. That simply winning the Classic shouldn't be the hands down slam dunk qualification for Zenyatta winning HOY.

If it's not the Classic that gets her HOY, what is it? Her breathtaking wins over Taptam, Rinterval and Switch? I don't think she should be HOY if she wins the Classic. It's Horse of the Year, not Horse of the Race, and assuming she wins, other than the Classic, she's done nothing but narrowly beat tomato cans all season. You still have no point, unfortunately. She'll take the trophy if she wins next Saturday. But 'one race shouldn't get her the award' isn't illogical or biased, sorry. |

You still haven't shown me illogical or biased statements from "east coasters" that parallel the greatest horse/mare ever inanity. And I've said all along that I wouldn't be shocked to see Zenyatta win the Classic. Flies in the face of my 'Zenyatta hater' label, but I don't try to figure that one out. |

nope, which makes one wonder why zenyatta deserves it based on a classic win-her races this year to date don't deserve hoy contention. again, like i said before, this thread began because shirreffs averred that zenyatta deserved hoy even without a classic win. it's debatable with a win, should she get it. but without? absolutely not. but i guess all that, as well as my analogy, went over your head.

![]() Now comes word that Zenyatta is ambitious. Not ambitiously placed, mind you, but ambitious.
"Now, we have Zenyatta, an ambitious mare who will try to remain unbeaten in 20 races, running against the boys next Saturday in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs." http://therail.blogs.nytimes.com/201...ys-still-work/

This ain't the NCAA Tournament, it's not single-elimination. It's more like the MVP, something Zenyatta most certainly hasn't been this season. |

I can't lose? What are you talking about? I don't think her campaign has been HOY worthy, Classic win or no. That's illogical and biased? It's realistic. I think she's terrific, regardless of what happens next Saturday. I've said all along that her winning would make me sad, not because I don't want her to win, but because it would prove that she really could've been a total beast if they'd challenged her once in a while. The award, as it's defined, should not be about who wins the Breeders' Cup. It should not even be about who the 'best' horse is. It should be about who accomplished the most throughout the year. No matter what way you try to spin it, regardless of what happens at Churchill, that isn't Zenyatta in 2010. |

Of course she'll win the HOY with a win. Will it be deserved? I can see both sides. The award is based on the year. Not the month of November. There are plenty of examples of horses winning the Classic and not winning HOY. |
