Thanks so much, but it's no big deal.
There is so much the NCAA doesn't know about. I know a lot of things most don't think I know. But oh well. |

I thought the main purpose of going to college was to learn how to make money and not be a burden on society? If someone was actually willing to buy the crap they were selling and they were also able to receive tattoo discounts as well, OSU was a success for these young men!! I thought they were stealing crap or something. I read about it and they were actually selling crap. They're simply entrepeneurs.

I don't know, but some of these guys might scrape for money and ,if true.....oh it's all such bulls.hit.
Suspend them for the bowl game,too...then I would believe they believe they are trying to do something other than look righteous. |

NCAA has a slave-owners mentality.

Agreed. These "major violations" certainly aren't crimes, and are barely even un-ethical by anyones standards other than the NCAA. They've got this amazing gravy train going, and don't want anyone else profiting but the NCAA.

The NCYAY-YAY.
The Ohio State evpn board is outraged....at the players.Selling your BT Champ. ring???? Draw and quarter them!! Crazy fans of their iconic college act like it's a diety of some sort. They wanted to stone Clarret a few years back. Hypocricy reigns. Meanwhile...too many little ones won't get anything tomorrow. But some people can only think of their SugarBowl upcoming trip and how these guys have disgraced them and "the university."I'm so sick of people and their gross phoniness. Phooey. So if the kids had given their crap to their dads to barter with the tattoo parlor and get their cash and tattoo bargains it would have been cool with the NCAA because the kids could then claim ignorance??

In the mind of the NCAA, it's almost better if you actually commit crimes. I look at this Masoli fellow who played for Oregon then was allowed to play for Ole Miss this year. He actually pled guilty to crimes I think and was always allowed to play..

In June 2010 Masoli was cited for misdemeanor drug and traffic charges and was dismissed from the team, from which he later plead guilty to marijuana possession and a traffic citation due to the stop.[16][17] Prior to his being kicked off the team, he would have been eligible to play in the 2011 season had he satisfied the requirements set forth by Kelly.[14][15] Media outlets reported on July 25, 2010, that Masoli had sent his scholarship release papers to a number of schools, notably Ole Miss. The report included Ole Miss rival Mississippi State, Hawaii, UNLV, Louisiana Tech, and Syracuse. Masoli would presumably be eligible to play in the 2010 season after completing his undergraduate degree at Oregon; he would need to enroll in graduate study not currently offered at Oregon in order to be eligible at the next institution.[18

Ohio State people are fighting this by saying too many of these guys want to be in the NFL (oh perish the thought they want to improve theri lives) but for now they are not professionals.
How is it you get at least $100,000 scholarships....and that doesn't make you a pro? Isn't that the very definition? |
