Default Belmont Wed.

Hows the weather been up there the past 2 days? Any chance of fast and firm tomorrow? Don't wanna wast time on the card tonight if they are gonna be off the turf.

Thanks in advance.

Waiting on turf decisions. Fast yes, firm highly doubtful.

Should get back to firm as week goes on with warmer weather moving in.

Fast and yielding. Race 4, 5 and 7 off turf.

Just curious, but what is the selection process in determining which races get taken off the turf? Specifically, why would the 8th (25N2L) be kept on?

Usually one is kept on each course if just a few of the scheduled ones are staying on the turf. On a day like today when just the last two were kept on you're inclined to think it's because more drying of the turf courses will take place as the day progresses. I am completely talking out of my ass here, so I'll go on to say that a thought has to be given to field size after the surface change.

Question Does Anybody know who is riding the 12 in race 4?

I am hoping Dominguez, R A picks up the mount since the 10 got scratched. The Belmont Web Site doesn't say.

Talking Bridge Jumper Alert Race 3 Belmont 10-5-11

$22,000 bet on the 2 to show in race 3 today. Awesome Feather is 1/4 and $12,000 bet to win with 9 minutes to post. Slow day at work nothing has broken today yet.

Smile $2.10

The jumper is safe to jump another day as Awesome Feather came home and paid a healthy $2.10 to show. I wish I had that kinda $$$ to bet. Well then I wouldn't anyway. Never mind, anybody know who is riding the 12 in race 4 they gotta put a jockey on her. Maybe No Boy only old timers can remember No Boy on the Scratch Sheet. He didn't ride a lot of winners but he got a lot of mounts.
