Default Calder Sat

Four on my watch list are in today...

r4 7, Crystal Victory. Gomez / Cardoso. second time turfing, 2-turning. Ran evenly with a modest middle move and should be closer today. ML 12-1. They will pound the 10, Mama Bear -- Clement/two ok tries at Saratoga -- in here.

r 8. 9, Dirtymoposse. ML 20-1. 2nd off short layoff. Usual suspects are the main contenders, but a few new-face speeders join the crew (Maestre, Denim, Keep Cool)) and all drew inside. DMP a 6-time winner at the trip and beat the likely chalk, Gin Rummy Champ, here in May.

r10. 2, Soco Creek. ML 6-1. Nice open length chasing second on double+ rise to since-repeat winner Steady Slew. Standridge goes to Elvis T., who has won with 60% of his rides for the trainer the past two years.

r11. 6, Ashlee the Great. ML 6-1. Back to dirt and sprinting for Steve Dwoskin who is IMO the most effective So Florida dirt track trainer I've ever seen. Trains his own horses solely (or nearly so). Moves up if wet. Adding Douglas doesn't hurt.

Ashlee the Great in any weather. The others fast/firm only.

good luck.

If I am not mistaken this one has only missed the board once @ calder and that was her last race (first time turf and first route) switches back to dirt and 6F...

just a fun FYI... this one was a playmate of Henny hughes when they were babies.
