Even though she knows he's a douche, he's still her brother and is trying to keep some peace for the children who have already been through a lot. Not to mention that she is very close to her mother (who is very good to my boys) and she really doesn't want to needlessly upset her.

Worst advice ever! You wait Tom this will be happening to you some day. Hopefully you will be kind enough to post it. Beating up your wife's brother(regardless of how big an idiot he is) will cause YOU to be forbidden from your wife.

Stop it. Both you and 3Kings.
Scav, don't listen to these guys. You've got it exactly right. I know you'll do the right thing when this happens to you on Christmas day. Put the loser in his place in front of the whole family. Then when everyone has gone home, take what is yours. Just don't forget to report it here. Future thread of the year circa 2014. |

Because that's the way Shakespeare would have written it. |

I'm lucky, out of my three sisters, my one brother in law is awesome (sports bettor, crazy fun, little nuts) and another is a genuine great guy. The last one I am not 'that' fond of but he is good to my sister and he is surprisingly great with my two new nephews. I get the feeling that my sister has alot to do with that.
My girlfriend only has an older sister and she is harmless. She is a librarian and a cat person. I guess the two go hand in hand but there isn't a whole lot in common there. Older Sister: So Tom, what have you read lately? Tom: Well, there is Bloodhorse.com, DRF.com, the Daily Racing Form, a lil BGR.com and ESPN.com Older Sister: No, I'm talking about books. Tom: Last book I read was in Junior High, I'm a huge fan of cliff notes. Older Sister: Sigh |

Stop it. Don't ask him relationship questions.
