Assuming these are official, what I want to ask you is about our conversation on the other thread. Since Bernardini's Beyer must be 114 or 115 since he only finished a length back of Invasor who got a 116, and since this is a Beyer that is consistent with Bernardini's previous races, how is it possible that he didn't take to the track or wasn't himself?

I think its 7-8 points high in the classic Jim. They have Dini at 115, lets wait for sniper to chime in. I think the numbers are a bit high in the majority of the races.

I will not believe that was a 116 quality race. No way. In my opinion, they slowed the track down a lot after the first two races. I think they saw speed favoring and watered it down some. Invasor was pretty dirty coming back so it was really sticking. But it seemed to me that the track stayed pretty consistent after the first two races. I can see them splitting out the first two but keeping the same variant for the rest of the card and if they do that, I don't know how the Classic gets a 116. One of u that know better than me can correct me but on a single variant, wasn't the Juvenile a faster race than the Classic? I am thinking that a 1:42.60 would be the equal of a 2:02.00 so Street Sense going 1:42.59 should be higher than Invasor's 2:02.18 Is that right? So even though I think the track played the same for all the BC races, I think they obvious split out the last two dirt races from the rest. There is no way that they could have kept it the same and given Street Sense 108 and Thor's Echo and Invasor both got 116. On the same variant, Thor's Echo is much higher than all of them and Street Sense is second. I think.

Just going by the times when the BC at Churchill in 2000. The Sprint went in 1:07.7 as opposed to 1:08.8 yesterday. The Distaff went in 1:47 as opposed to 1:50 yesterday. Considering those times I think 2:02 was a very solid time yesterday.

To give that Classic Winner a 116,Beyer will have to give Giacomo atleast 108-110.That just might kill the guy.I don't know if he can do it.Look for him to reduce, correct, alter.

Giacomo's figures in California this year were all 5-10 points higher than he was running in California last year so it doesn't seem strange that it would be 8 points higher at Churchill. The problem is he should have been running outside of California all along.
