Default Sherman Hemsley Dead.

Sherman Hemsley, known for his starring role on "The Jeffersons," has died at age 74.


Remember him as Archie Bunkers's neighbor...that role lead to the Jeffersons...funny guy...RIP..

Saw him in the musical "PURLIE" on Broadway as 'Gitlow' with Cleavon Little and Melba Moore. He was fabulous.

Speaking of which, if I could think of one show from the past that could not possibly be made today, it would be All in the Family.

Archie Bunker was one of the best TV characters ever.
