Hopefully will only be a strong Cat 2 or less predicted as of today. I have family down there, today and tomorrow filled with hurricane prep ... they are getting off Marco, but staying in Naples, Tampa area inland.

All of Florida at risk, Geeker, you're down there, right? hope you are okay! Anti, you're down there, too? Take care!

Hope Convention delegates are not caught traveling, in airport, etc.

I just heard now that latest models (which can change, of course) has it a direct impact on Mobile, Alabama as a stronger hurricane next week, Tues. Wed.

The gulf is hot and steamy, and it's now modeled to miss Florida to the west, but strengthen quickly across the hot gulf waters.

Again, of course, that can all change

Now we have to worry about 'Zig down in the south - but you be careful, too!

What Antitrust32 said. The tree root systems have been weakened by lots of rain for the past month or so; wouldn't need much of a wind to create lots of damage.

Yes, plenty of gun violence in the area lately, including a murder in Belleview last weekend.
