Another speaker is Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

You might remember him as starting the policy to just pay off child-molesting priests to leave the priesthood, to keep it all quiet.

Nice guy.

Mitt will probably lie about the same shi.at Ryan did last night. Ryan really blew a good chance doing that. The fact checkers have destroyed him today. He gave a rousing speech - filled with lies.

Ryan had an interview today with Scott Peltier (sp?) of CBS, played on CBS News tonight. Scott asked Ryan about his lie about why the countries credit rating was dropped (Ryan blamed Obama solely) - which S & P said was due to "congressional Republicans" of which Ryan is the leader.

Ryan says, "that's not true" Scott says, "Here, I'll read it to you" ... Ryan interrupts and goes, "That's not what S & P said, blah, blah, blah" and goes on for about a minute.

Scott looks him in the eye and reads it anyway " ... dropped due to Congressional Republicans".

Ryan is all, "well, that's not the way I think it happened". Fuc.k.ing liar.

Twitter:

"Clint Eastwood represents the Republican Party: old white men railing profanely against the Obama of their imagination"
That's what you get when he won't let you write him a speech.

Romney campaign was already spinning Eastwood weirdness away on Twitter when Rubio was speaking.

Next up, next week: More politics: Democrats!

He was no Dick Clarke.

Repubs are running on the platform of "Look at how bad the past four yrs have been", when they should be finding tangible ways to make the country better. That said, they were still some well written speeches.

Loved this quote enough to share it.

Quote:
Clint Eastwood in his speech is the perfect symbol of the GOP;

A delirious old white man rambling on to an invisible man who isn't actually there.
