Just when you thought there'd be no more NYRA-bashing stories out there, there's this one:

I wonder if Dutrow is going to be pictured? Got a feeling Joe Drape from the NY Times isn't going to be.

I like it! Especially Bing Crosby in the upper left.

That is a serious mustache on Neiman.

I see you're just going to post this on every message board you can until you get the kind of response you're looking for, huh?

Stick to redboards man.

Not looking for any response; just thought it ironic that, in spite of all that's going on with NYRA, the powers that be there saw fit to commission a mural glorifying themselves at a cost of $250,000.

Regarding Leroy Neiman, I note that he passed away around three months ago at the ripe old age of 91.

You did see that it was commissioned two years ago right?

Like I said, stick to the multi board redboard...much more effective.

Two years ago? Really? That would be Sept., 2010, right at the time that the incorrect commission fiasco took place.

Glad I'm not a conspiracy theorist (just a redboarder!).

Over and out; returning control of this thread to the viewers at home.

The Del Mar picture looks real nice -- but I don't even know who more than half of those people are.

It would be neat to see such a picture for a track like Belmont Park which has such a long and storied history... but most of the wrong people would certainly be on it.

No offensive to Rick Violette Jr. -- who I liked a lot as a fairly low-profile trainer in the late 90's -- but I don't think he'd make the cut for the top 10,000 figures in the history of that track.

I'd like to see one for Cleveland sports.

They'd have Bill Bilichek and his Defensive Coordinator with the Browns, Nick Saben hidden away in the back with Bill looking like Lloyd Christmas and a boyish Nick with his face in his palm.

How much did it cost to exhume Salvador Dali for this?

It will be funny to see Dutrow's face melt into a clock.
