![]() You ever notice that that DRF either deletes comments that someone made or edits the comment to fit there liking!! There was a comment that someone made yesterday, criticizing Steve Crist and his account of the OTB's wrong takeout on his article on the Catskill's OTB. I guess the DRF cant take criticism!!
Also for smartphone users, the DRF banner that you cant close is very annoying when trying to read an article or looks at results. They dont care about that either. |

![]() I've noticed some extraordinarily stupid comments on DRF. Then again, I see some here sometimes as well. In fact, I have seen some very stupid threads too.

seems if the thread starter has an issue with drf, he'd be better off taking it up with them.

![]() My point is not whether the persons comment was correct or not , but that a publication like DRF is using censorship.

![]() sure it is; it has that right. this board also has people who keep the rest of us in check. sometimes we hit send without thinking things thru, or in a moment of anger, etc. it probably tells you about that in its terms of service or whatever you agree to when you join in.

![]() Of course if it crosses the line, it should be censored.

![]() About 68% of the comments at DRF should mercifully be removed.
They have a lot of people leaving comments who seemingly are trying to further the frontiers of human imbecility. The Internet may have disproved Oscar Wilde -- "man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth" -- but the mask of anonymity on the Internet is so beautiful because it allows people to show themselves for what they are at their core ... where as what you see face-to-face is most often a mask crafted by the manners of our society at the current moment in history. |

![]() Will Munny: Who's the fellow owns this shithole?
[pause] Will Munny: You, fat man. Speak up. Skinny Dubois: Uh, I... I own this establishment. I bought the place from Greeley for a thousand dollars. [Will levels the shotgun, and speaks to someone standing behind Skinny] Will Munny: You better clear outta there. Man: Yes, sir. [scampers out of the way] Little Bill Daggett: Just hold it right there. Hold it...! [Will shoots Skinny. Screaming, the women scatter upstairs] Little Bill Daggett: Well, sir, you are a cowardly son of a bitch! You just shot an unarmed man! Will Munny: Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend. |
