I was told Mr Palmer had surgery, though I can't recall what the issue was.

I think this has the potential to be a great wagering race...each horse (save Power Broker) will likely take money due to a variety of circumstances. No triple crown but should still be fun.

The Baffert fanatics will ensure Power Broker is an underlay.

Who would want to take 5-1 on Revolutionary?

Someone who was jumping up and down like a child in need of attention before the Derby proclaiming Revolutionary to be a triple crown winner who also claimed that he was giving Borel riding instructions in the Derby?

Baffert on ATR: No Power Broker for Belmont. Will try turf; Decision pending on Code West..

Thankfully Verrazano won't be unnecessarily rushed -- Pegasus next.

Todd is carefully planning Verrazano's campaign to avoid having to run in any NY races. The poor dear needs at least six or seven weeks between races. What's after the Haskell.....the prestigeous Indiana Derby?

what a handsome devil. Revolutionary will win the Belmont, unless of course they do the race like the Preakness.... Hmmm Stevens makes easy lead on hoss that is known to get brave on the engine. Krigger snatches, Rosario, who had previously been on the good part of the track every race, buries Orb into a no chance spot. When Stevens turned for home he looked like the happiest man on earth. I think he needed the score, he must have been pretty broke to start riding again. I think a ton of people made a score on Oxbow. Pure genius to have have Calzone Lord give the hoss out on the board for everyone to see. As always, truth is stranger and much more interesting than fiction. Nothing like a thirty dolla hoss to pay some bills. |

The Easy Goer, being run on Belmont Day, is now worth $150K, the same purse as the Pegasus.

I get why they're going to MTH--the Let's Go guys live right down the road and they're looking for a run over the track before the Haskell. Maybe when he gets beat in the latter they'll switch surfaces... or retire him.
