Closed out 3rd week of Spa session with modest early P4 hit for $300 on $1 try ($72), but single of dreadful 1-1 Starsilhouette in late quad nightcap left door open on $48 attempt. Weather appears slightly iffy at this hour with 50-50 t-storm possibilities as we start Week 4 and approach meet's mid-point. At Del Mar, a challenging sequence is in the offing on the 3rd straight Wednesday carryover scenario, this one a $265k pot that should reach $1.5MM by the 6:09pm ET post of race 3.

Catfive (Smart Strike) was bred by Don Adam (Courtland Farm) o/o SW Cat Charmer, but sent through ring and fetched but $3,000 as a KEE Sept yearling. Canani barn has been in some turmoil upstate. Little Boss bows for Vaccarezza/Romans and is bred to win early (Street Boss). War Hawk (War Front) brought $300k from Jerry Durant and has worked steadily for Asmussen..
