Default The Prisoner on DVD

I've been debating whether to buy the 17 episodes on DVD...anybody have it? It's not priced really well for only 17 episodes and the quality is my biggest concern being from the 60's...

Would you believe, I do have it? The complete series, no less. And some of them are still shrink-wrapped (I'm very bad at getting around to watching things). But I did watch the first one-- the quality is fine. It's not great, but it's not great because it's from the 60's, not because it's deteriorated horribly. Video and sound could only do so much back then. The episode was completely watchable, other than being mind-bogglingly slow-paced, but then I'm from the Sesame Street generation...

FYI- people have complained about the quality of the video for the 1st season of Saturday Night Live, but they're forgetting they didn't look that great back in 1976 to begin with. We've come a long way in video and audio since then!

Hope that helps! I'll give the series a second look and then maybe we can discuss down the road...

Well, good to know that the quality is ok...still undecided as Amazon wants $70 for the set...that's really high for 17 episodes! The Highlander has finally dropped to a reasonable price and I have to get those sometime, and I want Homicide, Life on the Street...decisions, decisions!
