Default Gulfstream Friday Mar. 6th

Brief rundown...but first a quick look at the opener at FG: #5 Irish Vixen ran superb on debut, didn't take to OP, solid effort in a turf MSW, not fit off the layoff, and drops off a not so bad turf effort. May be overlooked, as will #4 Her Royal Princess who has shown nothing to date but might get it going trying two turns on the dirt for the first time.

Race 2:
#5 Diamonds and Gold: Steady worktab for average debut outfit. Wouldn't need to be much here.
#6 Professor Jak: Nothing flashy but that's how the barn is in the AM. Watch the tote.
#7 Returning Rock: Not much of a factor at short prices in his last two. Gets a work in as well as Paco.
#2 and #9 haven't shown anything on turf, but maybe they can turn it around with the surface change.

Race 3:
#6 Materiality: Shouldn't have a problem with the stretchout and looks the most likely winner.
#4 Stanford: Stablemate the only one who appears to pose a serious threat.

Race 4:
#7 Miss Major is SCR...
#5 Amaluna: Has had her chances and not taken them. Rally might be too little, too late.
#3 Valid Wildfire: Two back aside her form isn't as bad as it appears. Could spring unlikely shock.
#1 Jill's Comprise: Hasn't been too far off the pace in 7/8f tries. Clear lack of speed with the SCR.

Race 5:
#1 Overton Square: Runs best on the lead and a soft run up front looms.
#9 Pasta Lover: Has run races good enough to win this and Aguilar has been on Kopaj's live ones.
#3 Purincat: Will be a solid price if you can look past his last one. Big jock upgrade.
#12 Rome Burned: Doesn't appear as formidable on the grass, but hard to rule out Maker off the claim.
#4 and #10 are exotics uses.

Race 6:
#5 Sky Captain: Completely bottled up last time, showing the surface is no concern. Expecting a big run in a wide open race. My key in the race.
#2 Sayaad: Easiest he's faced in some time. Don't like that he missed a month of works.
#7 Winning Cause: Looks like he didn't handle the yielding going in his last two late last year. Has previously run well off the layoff. Castellano and JV elsewhere.
#1 Pleuven: Big time win off an extended break. Eligible for this race under the conditions yet is in for the tag. Hmm...
Felt that #4 and #8 just might need this run.

Race 7:
#11 Santin's Anna: Bullet work with the bug signals speed intent. Sire has been winning with them early.
#6 Berry Blitz: Can make excuses for most of his efforts. GPW MSW run is more than good enough here. Feel he'll run a sneaky race.
#8 Flash Jak: Much improved with the blinkers on. Could be a big day for Iadisernia.
#3 True to the Game: Has speedy 3f works but not much else. Hard to ignore connections, however.
#7 War Legacy: Form unappealing but has never been on a fast main track.

Race 8:
#6 The Forks: Average debut and was short on first appearance at GP. Showed true colours last out and should further improve this time.
#4 Caribbean Princess: Inconsistent sort but ran well last time and should keep moving upwards now that she's been in this barn for a bit longer.
Not convinced by the AEs.

Race 9:
#9 Come To Heel: Nothing wrong with reappearance from a long-term absence. Three good works since and looks an overlay.
#11 Secret Someone: Finally switched on when moving to the turf and her best races came over firm going. Looks primed for this one.
#4 Resistivity: Speed in this looks hot but should be able to hang on for a share.

Race 10:
#6 Skywarn: Barely missed a beat since the maiden breaker and adds Lasix. Be wary.
#5 Feather: The logical one but preparation interrupted by last week's cancellation.
#8 Momameamaria: Got too fired up for the G2 last out. A factor based on previous form.

Race 11:
#1 Generous Kitten: Bred for the trip, bred for the grass, and love the worktab. Ready to go on debut.
#7 Good Response: Off a long time since the last so assuming something went amiss. Extended worktab to get him ready for this.
#9 Veya: Ignore the dirt/blinkered try and the form is very competitive. Unlucky in the stretch last out. Let's see what the bug can do.
