Hahaha!
Obviously, you never watched the show. Why am I fighting with you? I am just a cranky bitch today. OH and I guess I am stupid too.

I really am just pissy today. My best friend and I are emailing each other back and forth about the comic book. We hope Angel ends up in it somewhere....

You sure are confident. How about we settle this with a handicapping competition? Since you're so brilliant you should beat me easily.

Edit: I PM'ed somerfrost and extended the challenge. Loser leaves the board. I refuse to have some half-a-quack front like he's the second coming of Freud.

Buffymommy,
Angel and Spike will both appear according to the interview with Joss that I linked to! Spike probably will play a bigger role in the season's arc however! Joss explained that all characters from Angel are "owned" by another comic book company so they are in negotiations right now...he expects there to be no problem however!

Ah, springtime... and GenuineRisk's thoughts turn lightly to thoughts of Spike...

March cannot come too soon.

PillowPants, why not just Netflix the show and then you can make fun of it in specifics? Though I think you might actually like it. I'd suggest starting with Season 2, which was fantastic. Somer could fill you in on what you need to know from Season 1.

(Somer, I know the show is perfect in your eyes, but much as I do like Season One, I think it needed a little while to fully hit its stride).

GR,
Nothing is perfect! Joss did afterall totally misrepresent witches but at least he did it in a non-judgemental way. And yes, it took Joss awhile to present the vast "Buffyverse" to viewers...multi-layered characters and all the mythology that had to be set up...then the first season was only 12 episodes...but I think to totally appreciate it, you need the background laid out in the first season. And of course, no Spike and Dru...lol!

gottta disagree on this one...while I honestly never liked the show i used to have three roomates that watched it constantly...they are early thirties one's in medical school, one's an organ transplant coordinator, and the other is an accountant for the state...not exactly teeny boppers, goths, or middle aged social workers...in fact as the lowly farm chick perhaps I wasn't smart enough to "get" it

Eh, I came in during season 5 and I still got hooked, and then went back and watched the rest.

The portrayal of witches didn't bother me-- in the world Whedon created, that's what they were. I think some witches who got mad about it forgot the show is, technically, fiction. Much as we wish they were all real.... hee hee.

That's exactly how I feel...in order for the story lines with Willow to work, Joss had to portray things as he did! Those who took offense were simply being overly-sensitive...understandable but counter-productive. With Joss, we have a brilliant writer who is a confirmed feminist and responsible for huge breakthroughs in the positive screen representation of feminine roles...allowing him a little creative freedom is a minute price to pay!
