Default 6/4: Belmont Park ($27k C/O)

BELMONT PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

1st: NY-OC/N2X, 3+, 7f (P5, P3, DD)

A lot of pace pressing entities among this hard-hitting group making stalker-closer types appealing, particularly light-weighted Leilani's Ticket SCR (5-1). Ouchy Comandante comes back for Pletcher for 2nd run after 10 months away..

Most Likely: #8 Comandante WON ($3.70)
Best Value: #2 Escape to the Moon 3rd
Next Best: #3 Pretension 4th

2nd: OC/N2X, F&M-3+, 6.5f (P4, P3, DD)

Sweet Whiskey (4-5) SCR looks awfully imposing on the turn back out of the G1 La Troienne on Oaks Day..

Best Value: #6 Wavell Avenue 6-1 WON ($5.40)
Next Best: #2 Discreetly Elusive 5-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #7 Tarnished 8-1 5th

3rd: 104th Astoria, 2yo-F, 5.5f (P6, P3, DD)

$27k P6 C/O starts here..

Notable that after maiden debuter from Pletcher (Tonasah), rest of cast made previous starts at Churchill, Gulfstream, Pimlico, Santa Anita and Keeneland and have quite a bit of presence to them..

Best Value: #5 Tonasah Late SCR (Ran off.. and off.. and off
Next Best: #2 Moment Is Right 3-1 WON ($4.70)
Exotics Use: #4 Decked Out 2-1 2nd
Super Add: #1 One Minute 6-1 3rd

4th: MSW, F&M-3+, 6.5f (G/S, P3, DD)

Hard to get past some of the obvious outfits..

Most Likely: #6 Blame Dixie 5-2: Pletcher product has advantage of debut as 2yo.. 10th
Best Value: #7 Strong Incentive 4-1: Sharp working firster from top barn.. 9th
Next Best: #2 Elraazy 7-2: Half to super speedy J Be K.. WON ($10.40)
Exotics Use: #1a (POE) Carrumba 12-1 2nd

5th: OC/N1X, 3+, 11f-IT (P4, P3, DD)

Best Value: #11 Rhythm Blues 5-1 4th
Next Best: #9 Belisarius 4-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #1 Roman Approval 7-2 WON ($6.20)
Super Add: #6 Sheldon 8-1 6th

P5 Grid:

1: 8 (A), 2-3 (B), 5 (C)
2: 2-6 (A), - (B), 4-7 (C)
3: 2-5 (A), 1-4-6 (B), 3 (C)
4: 6 (A), 2-7 (B), 1-3 (C)

6th: NY-ALW/N1X, 3+, 1m (P3, DD)

Best Value: #3 Rectify 8-1 4th
Next Best: #10 Drama King 7-2 2nd
Exotics Use: #4 Repent Twice 5-1 7th
Super Add: #8 Bambisfrostyracer 12-1 8th

7th: 2nd Intercontinental, F&M-4+, 17f-T (DD)

Thoroughly spectacular affair with easily 6-7 (rather obvious) win candidates, but you should sprinkle exotic plays liberally with prices..

Most Likely: #11 Marbre Rose 7-2 2nd
Next Best: #13 Radiator 6-1 7th
Best Value: #2 Token of Love 8-1 6th
Exotics Use: #5 Carolina Shag 20-1 8th

8th: MSW, F&M-3+, 8.5f-IT

Yeesh.. Brutally deep, well bred and well-matched sophomore gals. Robe (8-1) is one of the ones with best chance here, but as noted by Nick Tammaro Wednesday, being out-posted wide hurts at this trip. Coming Attraction (10-1) is a half to Parading and Shug reaches out to get Johnny back aboard. The Sullivan's Foolish Cause (30-1) is a half to their wonderful Get Stormy and Tom Bush is trying to sneak a pork chop past bloodhounds here. Susie's Baby HAS won but was taken down. Nimble Foot (12-1) returns from Colt's Neck for dangerous Goldberg/Santulli and bring Paco Lopez with them. What a terrific nightcap..

Most Likely: #6 Coming Attraction 10-1 9th
Next Best: #11 Robe 8-1 6th
Best Value: #7 Foolish Cause 30-1 12th
Exotics Use: #4 Nimble Foot 12-1 5th

P6 Grid:

3: 2-5 (A), 4 (B), 1 (C)

5: 11 (A), 1-9 (B), 6-8 (C)
6: 3 (A), 10 (B), 1-4-8 (C)
7: 11 (A), - (B), 2-13 (C)
8: 6 (A), 11 (B), 2-4-7-8 (C)

P4 Grid:

5: 11 (A), 1-9 (B), 6-8 (C)
6: 3-10 (A), 4-8 (B), 1-12 (C)
7: 11-13 (A), 2 (B), 5-6-9 (C)
8: 6-11 (A), 4-7 (B), 2-8-9 (C)

Good luck!
Steve
