Pimlico Saturday May 21st
Tough to have a go at these in advance with track conditions up in the air...
Race 1: #2 No Brakes: Veteran has a strong late kick and has speed in here to set him up. #6 Double Whammy #1 Young Dude is SCR... #9 Steve Came Thru Race 2: #1 Private Client: Proctor doesn't have a great record debuting them in Lexington and she ran well behind an impressive winner. Has some classy sibs and should only improve with that race under her belt. #8 Queen Caroline: Done nothing wrong in her two turf runs and sports two bullets since her last. #3 Cherub #13 Believe Indeed OFF TURF: 11-7-13-10 Race 3: #2 Good Luck Gus #8 Dothat Dance #7 Big House #6 Jump Jive an Wail Race 4: #13 Silverville is SCR #15 Sassy Little Girl: Returned last year off a similar layoff here in a N2X, had a tough trip, and still won. Upgrade to Boyce but has it tough from the outside #4 Evidently: Ambitious middle move off the layoff. The most accomplished but may not get a fast pace to run at and the 8.5f may be on the short side. #1 Rachel Wall OFF TURF: 8-2-1-3 Race 5: #7 Salutos Amigos: Heaviest showers forecasted for when this race will be run. Gives weight again but is a perfect 7 for 7 on wet tracks. #4 Cinco Charlie: Doesn't look like there's anything else to go with him early. A wire job would not surprise. #3 Always Sunshine: Finally put it together lately. Maybe needed the race when beaten by the top pick and has another chance here if he breaks cleanly. #6 Negrito Race 6: #8 Aquaphobia: Big time finish to win the debut and wasn't disgraced in a good N1X over a good course at Keeneland. More improvement to come and can step up here. #4 Ousby #2 He'll Pay #5 Conquest Windycity Race 7: #4 Cooking Up a Storm: His toughest assignment but is in career best form and will get the pace to suit. #2 Chief Istan: Looks talented, but a 13 month layoff with no wet experience at a short price is an unfavourable combo. #1 Coupled Entry: Much prefer the 1A here...has run well on a wet track before and I like him getting back to a sprint. #7 Right Squall Race 8: #12 Lady Shipman: Ortiz is here, why doesn't he ride?? #9 Exaggerated: Looks the only thing with a chance. #7 Everything Lovely #10 Joya Real Race 9: #6 Counterforce: Powerful late kick should be set up perfectly here. #1 Justin Squared: Rocket beat older horses but have to wonder about how much is left after that 45 work before shipping. #3 Quijote is SCR... #5 Never Gone South Race 10: #8 Josdesanimaux: Much improved since the initial massive barn change. SCRed away from Tepin and is quite eligible to step up second off the layoff. #12 Heath: Career best on the soft course and has shown some speed previously which will be handy to get across early in this race without a lot of early zip. Geroux can help overcome the wide draw. #3 Tiger Ride: Liked her on the dirt on Friday but SCRed for this one. This is easier than her last and comes in sporting double bullets. #6 Nisharora: Steady improver since coming Stateside. Was blocked, yes, but still had running room late. However, may have needed that one and is another who can progress second up. Race 11: #3 Kingslayer: Great sire #s for the wet track so it's no surprise he romped in his lone sloppy try. Fastest pace he'll have to deal with so far but he's shown he can pass runners. #7 Dazzling Gem: Louisiana Derby was a big ask that early in his career and possibly moved a bit too soon in the Ark Derby. Class relief here, but Misremembered hasn't sired a wet track winner to date. #1 Lazarus Project is SCR... #9 Charmed Victory: Speed will set him up at a price. #5...hyped to no avail in his last. Did stumble slightly early but Castellano intriguingly jumps ship. Does have that big wet performance though... Race 12: #4 Takeover Target: Not disgraced last out when giving weight over the mile. This suits better, as will the wet track. #13 Cage Fighter is SCR... #11 Force the Pass is SCR... #6 Golden Sabre Just wonder if #7 needs one, especially as a 7yo... Race 13: #3 Nyquist: If the track doesn't dry out, that would be the only concern. #5 Exaggerator: Don't buy that he's much better on wet tracks, but looks better than the rest. #2 Uncle Lino #7 Collected #10 worth adding underneath as a bomb... Race 14: #12 Mesojet #2 Coupled Entry (particularly the 2X) #11 Map Room #5 Gin Fuzz ON TURF: 11-12-9-7 $0.60 Early Pick Four Race 3: 2, 7, 8 Race 4: 1, 4, 8, 14, 15 (OFF: 1, 2, 3, 8) Race 5: 3, 4, 7 Race 6: 2, 4, 5, 8 $108.00 (OFF: $57.60) $0.60 Middle Pick Four Race 6: 2, 4, 8 Race 7: 1, 2, 4, 7 Race 8: 9, 12 Race 9: 1, 3, 6, 7 $57.60 $0.60 Late Pick Four Race 10: 3, 6, 8, 12 Race 11: 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 Race 12: 4, 5, 6, 7 Race 13: 3, 5 $96.00 Good luck! Thanks Kitan. Thru your #'s in the 4th behind the fav and wow. $440 tri. Yelling like crazy at your #15 at 80-1 to hang on for second. That would have been boxcars. Should have bet the super too and been able to book a vacation to the Spa.
