Great list hooves,

Barry Sanders, Tony Dorsett, Roger Craig, Curtis Martin and Tiki during my time on this planet. Before my time, what I have seen on TV Gale Sayers
this guy was pretty damn good

Good lists...I have to put Jim Brown at number one and Payton at number two, after that...wow! OJ certainly deserves a mention, then again...how good would Bo have been?

where's john riggins??? gotta have the diesel on there somewhere!
and franco harris as well.

hard to pick the best one. i think maybe peyton, wasn't as big a runner as many of those, but still able to get the job done. barry sanders was good as well.

and then you can pick the rest... it aint even close for me. And I saw them all except J. Brown, just got to see replays. He was bigger than his lineman, way ahead of the curve. But I cant call him the best because of the lack of speed and size of the guys trying to tackle him.

Earl Campbell was the most punishing runner I have ever seen. And the poor guy can barely walk now. Never forget when he completely layed Isiah Robertson out, an Allstar LB for the Rams.

1) Walter Payton
2) Gale Sayers (I must be biased w/ my first 2 picks)
3) Jim Brown
4) Barry Sanders
5) LT - sorry, he's shooting up the charts.
6) Franco Harris
7) Tony Dorsett
8) Earl Campbell
9) Emmitt Smith
10) OJ - I guess - I still remembering his comments that "Walter Payton would never be a top 5 RB.' (Ok-he's actually ranked 6th)

With Bo I always have to wonder.

How about Neal Anderson's facial expression during one of Dikta's tirades?

Now get this.

Grossman became the first Bears QB to start the entire season since Erik Kramer did it in 1995.

I'm with you. The defining moment for me was seeing him break a linebackers ankle... without touching the guy. Sanders was the best.

Give me Gayle Sayers as my top choice. After that:

Barry Sanders
Eric Dickerson
OJ Simpson
Jim Brown

.......yeah, people forget how awesome mr. dickerson was.
still holds most yards by a rookie and all time single season mark.
