ROI Results 2/5 @ Gulfstream
No Bull. We had a winner on the Holy Bull Gulfstream card. It wasn't an easy day of pickings but
two players figured it out. Zippy did it all and finished a strong second. He swept all four of his wagers getting a winner in race 6 and adding three decent paying exacta's to finish at a nice plus $160 on the afternoon. But unfortunately he ran into a blazing hot Don Guido. DG hit the exacta in race 7 12 times and got back a solid $362 and finished up $266 on the day. I know it's early but Don Guido has discovered something and is out on the lead, pouring it on and striding away from the field. Nicely played Don and congrats on the win. Personally I think it's time for Joly to break out his patented Grand Slam, Hi 5, Place 10 super quinella exacta all in wager. If he can array it, I can score it. There were a lot of minus bankrolls this week. Not much to add. Cal picked some nice horses but couldn't quite put it together. Following are the unofficial results pending a booth review. See you all next week wherever the four winds take us. WIN... Don Guido... +$266.40... Race 7: $12 ex 1w/2,6,5,8 $30.20 X 12... $362.40 PLACE... Zippy... +$160.10... Well, I'm likin it but "will the real DonGuido please standup". I may be watching too many late-night Twilight Zone re-runs and have been sucked in by Mr. Sirling himself. The "KISS principle" seems to be working, and I've been fortunate to zero in on the right races and "put a saddle on the right lead horse".
On a more positive note, as the ol' saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" or tamper with it. Sure hope I don't "ride this horse into the ground" . . . we'll just see. BTW, it's getting late, and I've run out of colloquialisms, so "Ga'night Mrs. Calabash wherever you are"!!!
