His story touched millions of hearts. RIP Cody.

The linked article from DRF provides more details, including information about how to make any donations in his memory.

It would be great to see Laura Hildebrandt involved in the documentation of the story.

Even with all the accommodations for disabled people that are required, I imagine that it was pretty tough for his parents to take him places. I think that they must be some exceptional parents to see that he got to experience some things like the Breeders Cup.

Laura Hillenbrand certainly did a great job with her two best sellers, but I'm not sure whether she still writes much anymore which is too bad. She always leaves a person wanting more. Not that I am on top of the literary scene or anything, but haven't seen anything by her in quite a while. She reportedly has chronic fatigue syndrome which causes her to experience vertigo and has been homebound quite a bit.

Sad but he's in a better place after leaving all of us, who love the sport and have a heart to connections like these, with fond memories we wont forget.
