Default what is your favorite Derby Prep race?

Mine is probably the Wood or the Blue Grass

Arky Derby, no doubt about it.

I really enjoy the Santa Anita Derby for the most part, probably because it's the only major TC prep race that I've ever seen in person and won money on (Castledale!), so I may be biased.

It really changes year to year based on where the best horses actually face each other. The Bluegrass has become one of my least favorites in the last 15 years because some speedball usually won and the form didn't hold going forward. It will be interesting to see who goes there to run on the poly.

Frog Stakes at Turfway? Nah, guess I'd go with Santa Anita or Arkansas Derby.

I agree, I go to the Bluegrass every year and I'm anxious to see who comes as well. I personally wouldn't prep on poly and while it may help the field size in other races I wonder what it will do to them in the major preps in years to come.

i severely miss the days it was at the "old" sportsmans park and miss sportsmans park severely. everyday i see it and its just looking more and more decrepid it literally makes me sad. wish i had the money to buy the place and knock down all the concrete and make it into what it once was

The Arkansas Derby. It's become a hot spot for the Arkansas loyal fans! For 70,000 plus to make it to Oaklawn that day is very impressive.
